That is funny! I tend to do my knitting and crocheting in the cooler months as well. I usually pick one major project a winter. This winter is a knitted baby afghan and a toy as my son & DIL are having their first baby.

I love to make ornaments. Before I had my girl every ornament on my tree was handmade. Then everyone started buying them for her. So now it's a big mish-mash.
Love it

The holidays TOTALLY make me feel crafty! Somehow summertime I spend more time outside and goofing off than in my craft room. I could surely bring a little knitting project outdoors, but well whatever. I love to make presents, and I'm always looking for fun new ideas!

How cool! I am going to try to make 1 gift a month from Feb - Nov. That way I'll be ready for Christmas.

This year I did have one 'crafty'. Had 2 parties that needed under $10 gifts. I had just gotten a craft book that had to do w/ mirrors and shelves. One was a mirror-backed 'window' with window box planter. It was far too big for what I wanted to do, but using the idea I made some smaller ones that came out pretty well. Made a total of 5 - and all the planters have little crocus just waiting to be ready to grow and hopefully bloom!

I'm just relaxing and enjoying the feel of the fabric and the fun of putting it together. I tend to get to serious about my hobbies so I'm trying to relax.

I just discovered how relaxing quilting is. I have finished 3 of the 5 so far and they are getting better as I go.

I decided this year instead of sitting and quilting or crotcheting I would paint the inside of my house so... I spend an hour or two doing that and then quilt or crochet. When I get home from work if I sit down or eat I am toast for the evening but if I get busy physically it isn't as much of a problem.

quilting and crocheting are some of the signs that cold weather is here. i think it is great that we can be in a recession and still not let it change christmas. you ladies are proof that christmas is still all about giving and showing the love that christ has showed us. these r some great ideas i have always wanted to learn how to crochet. my mom taught me how to chain stitch and that was all i could learn to do lol

I tend to be crafty all year long but find as the weather gets cooler that I crochet and knit much more. Having no family and being disabled cooking is kept to a very little as I have an aid to assist. Also I have Celiac Sprue and it is expensive to make foods that are gluten free. Now don't get me wrong that I am a sad old lady lol. I am 43 and glad everyday I can wake up and put my feet on the floor.

I want to give away things I've made and I want to make more things to give away. I had planned to give quilts to my grand kids but decided I would save that for their next visit. That way they can use them while they are here and then take them home with them.

I love to bake but also love to eat so we shall see how that works out.

I crochet, knit and loom hats, scarves, slippers and give them away. I don't do very much baking or cooking. I also like to buy jams and jellies to give as gifts to friends who loves them.
I love the Christmas holiday, it's just a wonderful time of the year.
