Time to start up this thread again? It seems to have taken nearly as long a break as I did from being active and staying fit... But I'm back and have been on track for a couple weeks now. Have a long ways to go to get to the fitness level I was back in 2009, but I'm going to get there. :-) Today I spent 2 hours mowing the lawn, which included lugging the grass catcher on a very regular basis. Tomorrow I'll be running/walking again. So far today I have over 12600 steps, and that is without going on a measured walk/run.

Spent the day with GD, went bowling and then came home and went swimming. Watching the Nationwide race now while doing cleaning and the spark points. Have a lovely holiday.

I am a very easy going gal that loves people and wants to know as many as I can. I want to make new friends so I can enjoy more of life. When people get to 55 or 60 there are some that think life should be over but guess what it is just beginning. Maybe 50 years ago it was over but not now people are living longer and working in their 70's. I would have been if I didn't have leukemia and it does not stop me but I have good days and bad, so being home if I need rest, I rest, at work I couldn't do

This morning I ate steel-cut oats for breakfast and added 2 tbsp milled flaxseed. I'm tracking my fiber, so that gave me 8g of fiber in one bowl.

I ate lunch at home instead of out at some fast food joint! :) And I had a great run with my Holly Dog!

Had my annual checkup with my doctor (gynecologist)... had blood drawn for chemical profile, too...

Actually I was about 2 years overdue on that "annual" check-up, although I was up to date on my mammogram and assorted other things.

Oh, and since I had lost 20 pounds since I had seen him last, he was VERY interested in Spark People!

I ate a really good breakfast this morning -- Hodgson Mill Oat Bran Hot Cereal -- and I added a tablespoon of flaxseed meal to it. Used a teaspoon of brown sugar to sweeten it a little, and added a half cup of 2% milk. I bought 1% milk at the store yesterday, so I'll be using that for awhile when the 2% is gone.

Take that back - I figured out more framework that needed to happen... So no top, yet, but did make more progress. It's a 10'6" table that will actually go another 10" into the bookshelves. There will be shelves on either end, under the table for storing fabric, most likely. I'm going to have 2 pull-out units on either side of the sitting area - they'll store things like sewing notions and beading supplies.

Building a table all along the back wall of my craft room. Got all the framework up yesterday, and will actually be able to cut the top and install it. I don't know how many calories I burned yesterday, but I do know that at the end of the day, my muscles said they'd done some work!

Rewarded myself for jobs well done this week and went to a gardening "Spring Fling" with speakers and vendors. It was fun! Could have gone back today, but DS is back home and it's been a really nice day, so I weeded another garden bed, re-weeded the other two I'd done earlier, and then got out and ran a total of 3 miles and walked another 2. (One of those in the a.m. before weeding...) If I want chocolate, I can afford it tonight!

Haven't posted for a couple days... I've been in my greenhouse, weeding beds. Got some in an outside bed done today, before it rained again and got things even soggier... While we have had rain I've been working on cabinets in my dining room. Too long-going project, but I finally got the last one installed and everything secured to studs in the wall. Had to empty and clean out one base cabinet - it's MUCH better now! Actually has some order and space in it - and I didn't even get rid of all that much!

Would have been a good day to go for a run, but I didn't. Did walk a mile when I took some groceries to a friend. Also put down some pre-emergent on my lawn - first time in I've been able to do that while the forsythia is in bloom - usually the yard is way too soggy and although the stuff needs water to soak it in, then it needs to dry out. Hopefully the weather will cooperate! Was weeding in my garden and my son asked if we could take out the kayaks. He's been out w/ his daddy, but we've not gone out together. First time the yaks have been loaded on the truck rack - we got them down from their hanging storage spot, got them loaded, unloaded, paddled awhile, loaded up, unloaded and the hardest part - rehung. My arms are going to be sore tomorrow! I'm really thankful I can do this with my son. I promise it won't be the last time (but I do want to try to come up with a better system for getting them up and down!) And now I'm FINALLY getting on Sparks!

Didn't walk much, but pulled some weeds and cleaned some old stuff out of the flower beds, made my son take a .5 mile walk with me, took a friend to her therapy appt, got to go to Whole Foods and pick up the goodie bag I won (coffee, tea, cheese crackers, a fruit and nut bar - all in a re-useable bag - nice!).

Didn't do very good on exercise yesterday, but 5 miles today, and only 1.25 of it was walking. It really is easier to run in the neighborhood on a nice day than it is to run on the TM...

Yesterday was Horrid for exercise, and this morning I woke up with not enough sleep... don't have the energy to go to the gym... but I did go outside and walk a fast mile! Now for the Bible Study in a couple hours... might get in another mile before then, or run some this afternoon...

Didn't really feel like it, so got a slow start... but I did get to the gym and walked/ran 3 miles. Then needed to take DS back home, so didn't bother to shower first - and did 2 more miles in the neighborhood. Ran total of 3.5 miles and walked total 1.5 miles. Still working on getting the running back to where I can do it without walk breaks...

I KNOW there are other team members who have been doing things good for them... Log them and encourage each other! I got my clocks set ahead, so wasn't late to anything today! Got the day off from choir and orchestra this morning - a youth team led worship following our church's Cross-Training weekend. Did play guitar for Truck Stop Ministry this evening. Quiet day in-between...

Walked a mile this morning, then in the afternoon went about 3 more. Slow miles, because DH and DS were with - and we were geocaching for the first time as a family! It was fun - and I'm really glad DS found one of the caches.

Neither of us slept well last night, so I had a hard time getting going this morning. But I DID get to the gym and ran. It was tough today! Only ended up doing 4.25 miles instead of 5, and didn't run anything over .5 w/out a walk break. But at least I did something - much better than only walking a mile or two.
Another good thing - joined a ladies' Bible study - actually a book study strongly fortified by the Bible with application principles. Should be interesting, and I'll hopefully make some new friends.

You might laugh at this being a 'good for me', but I slept in this morning! After several nights only getting 7 hrs sleep, it was great to get nearly 10 hrs. I feel great! And my son is still sleeping!!! He has had major sleep issues - a 14 yr old needs about 10 hrs/night and he's been getting an average of 5. Not because he doesn't go to bed, but because he's been waking up in the wee hrs and can't get back to sleep. That means a major nap in the day, which really messes w/ getting school done. But it's nearly 10am and he's still in bed! Normally this would be a problem, but life hasn't been normal for him since his concussion in Dec. I just thank God his headaches are finally gone - now if we can get the sleep thing straight, he'll be ever so much better!

Yesterday WAS in incredible day. Just couldn't get much better! Today is pretty good, so far. Weather is beautiful again (tho sadly is expected to go downhill for the rest of the week - rainy and windy...). I did get bunny cage stuff and kitchen mulch stuff out to the mulch pile. Did a little weeding in my gardens, saw that my mints are beginning to come back. (need to get them in tubs so they can quit taking over the garden!) My son wanted to go to the gym this morning, so we went there fairly early and I got in a decent workout. I hope I learned my lesson when it comes to slacking off on the workouts... it's going to take awhile to get my stamina back up to doing 3 or 4 miles w/out stopping for a walk break again! I WAS good, tho - I did some strength exercises as well as my aerobic. Honestly, that will probably help my w/ the stamina issues...

I'll be posting a blog about the light stand soon - just downloaded photos... my babies are happy to have it, for sure!
Sang 'Great is the Lord, Almighty' for our choir special in church today - I got to play the tambourine emoticon It was fun! And tonight we're going to have a Dallas Holm concert! That should be really good!
And there's more... beautiful sunny day, so got in a 2 mile walk this afternoon. A day that just makes you want to praise the Lord!

Sounds li a fun project. I participated in a quilt a thon today. We made quilts for the little kids that get taken from their parents by the Sheriff or courts. Some little comfort.

Did some 1/4 mile speed drills (walk 1/4 mile, run 1/4...)
Ran from 6.5 mph to 7.5 mph. Only 2 miles total, but that's ok!

Worked on some more remodel projects. Finally got my chair rail installed in the dining room and kickplates on the base cabinets.

Time to add in a fitness good - did 5 miles this morning - 3 running, 2 walking. Just have to keep working on it so I can run 3 straight w/out the walk breaks! (I was up to 4 miles last fall... no more... but going to get there again!)

I gave someone an expensive pendant which did my heart good. After seeing the tears of joy and thankfulness, it was well worth it.

That is super. We walk our mall occasionally. It is about .33 miles for one trip around.

Today I came home from work early. I don't feel so good and need a break while I can to get my energy back. So I'm home and happy to chill.
