Time_Flies is exactly right. My pedometer is made by Omron and my husband got them from Amazon.com. This is the most accurate one I have ever had. My husband puts his in his work shirt pocket and I actually click mine to my pants pocket. He looked at how this was rated and it said it was the best one out there at the time... which was a year ago.

F8: I know exactly what you're talking about! You need to look on Amazon for an Omron. I love mine! I've had it for 4 yrs and it's great! You slip it in your pocket and don't have to worry about it being perpendicular to the floor. That, and it's accurate are it's best features.

It will keep a 7 day log of your: Steps, Aerobic steps, Calories and miles walked.

It cost around $20 and I haven't had to worry about it at all!

I've had about 4 or 5 other ones varying in prices from $2 to $12. But this one is it. And the battery is easy to find and under $4.

Does your new one actually capture all of the steps? I've had 3 now varying prices from free to about $12 and none of them really count all of my steps. Either I don't swing my booty enough or something?! I love this challenge but need some advice.

Ok... I know we already have a thread down below about a pedometer, but we have so many new people in our group I wanted to mention it again.

I personally think a pedometer is a great inexpensive tool to use in the weight loss process. They say that 10,000 steps a day for healthy living. I personally work in a 2 person office, so I don't get that many steps in a day. So.... What I do is when I get home at night I walk on the threadmill to get all my steps in. Since I am restarting my weight lose journey I am making 5,000 steps a day my personal goal a day. As the weeks go by I will try and add at least 500 more steps a week.

I know that Deborah63601 and myself use the thread below to track our steps... It would be great to get more people involved. You can find a wide range of pedometers. My first pedometer cost me around $10.00. The second one I got is a bit more advance and I got it for $26.00. Mine has a program that I can download my progress into my computer and does different graphs for me. My husband loves to log things on the computer.... so he is the one that actually got it for me.

Anyone at any time can jump on in and join us!

Let's Make 2009 a GREAT year for all of us!
