Water is very important for us. We may, and I do, require more than the 8 glasses a day. The link goes to a water calculator I use to see what I need for my current weight. Mt requirement has dropped 9 ounces due to weight loss. Yipee!

On an up note... Today when I stepped on the scales I expected to see them still stuck at 204 but it actually said 200!! I don't remember when they said that last. Usually it's just a pound here or there with weeks in between. And when I downloaded my e-mail, several Spark Goodies and messages on my page about being a Motivator. I didn't know what anybody was talking about so had to go to the Spark Pages page to find out I'm todays featured one. What a great day!

I have to schedule time for exercising. If I don't, then the chances of my doing that are nil. So for me, scheduling is the key.

As healing from diverticulitis, I get very sick if I move one inch off my diet. It's not worth it. I'd like to keep my colon. Pretty big motivator. And then since I have many health problems and meds keep me from loosing weight....and I've actually lost weight on my diverticular restrictions....that's encouraging and keeps me going.

Hugs,

Sammie Sue

I remember how I felt before I found out that I was diabetic and was heavier....still got a long way to go, but that keeps me focused on what I really want to be!

I use as many aspects of Spark as I can. The nutrition tracker, exercise tracker and the appointment book.

I find that looking over my emails in the morning and seeing what everyone else is doing and how they are handling things gives me inspiration to keep up with my own program.

If I get distracted for what ever reason I just start again the next day.

I try to incorporate some things like drinking 8 glasses of water each day etc slow and steady and make them as important as brushing my teeth etc. Those things that you don't even think about that you just do.

When I get up, if it's an exercise day, I do it right after getting dressed. I also set up my SP Calendar for reminders for just about everything. That really helps. I do everything on the Spark points page everyday that I can.

Getting up on the first ring is a good idea.

My goal for the rest of the week is to get up with Hubby when he gets up for work. That should motivate me to exercise first thing in the morning. Now that the Wii I ordered has arrived with the Wii Fit, that should get me off my butt

My husband and I are working professional just like alot of other people out there. Sometimes we focus so much on work or projects around the house we don't do what we need for ourselves. I think staying moviatated is the hardest part and not setting time in our day to excerise.

What does everyone do to help keep them motivated? My husband and I started a goal chart for us everyday. It might be as simple as getting up on the first ring of the alarm to walking on the treadmill. I have always heard that if you get do something for 21 days straight it will become natural. It seems like never get that far.
