Thanks. Im starting to check at stores around my area. If I can I would like to avoid to iron ons because they seem to warp in the dryer. I want something that will last past the 2nd wash ya know? lol.

There are iron on transfer for ink jet priters but I don't know if they work well. There is a store in town that will put pictures on blankets so you might try an online photo or quilt supply store. It sounds like a wonderful idea.

Hmm I am thinking of a putting together a photo quilt for my grandma for christmas but I dont know where I would go to get the picture blocks done...how do you do that? I want to use the pictures of my neices and nephews because she lives so far away. My job is merely to send her photos throughout the year and I want her to have something to cuddle in when she gets homesick. Can Any Of you Guys help me out here? Thanks!

quilting is definately hard work. My mom is a quilter and has just recently purchased a quilting machine for putting them all together so she is hoping to start a buisness. It is more a family business with all our craft. She has 8 kids and we eat have a different craft. It is kind of neat. We all love watching her put them together though. Some have even ended up being family projects.

what I am doing is using scrapbooking material and making a hanging collage for my parents of all their kids and grandkids. They ended up working great because of their size.

What kind of project are you doing with old cds? I've never really found one I liked. I painted one, but didn't know what to do with it. I didn't like hanging it up or anything. I'm not much of a doo-dad person.

*sigh* I could really use some support today. Not only was a starting to like a guy because I though he liked me but I am at a loss because my counts have started dropping again after a pretty good run and now all the sudden I havent heard from him in like 3 days. I keep thinking that maybe he is busy or something but it isnt like him. It stinks because I already havent been feeling good and now he just added stress but at the same time, I have been gaining weight because of some of the meds I am on (I have had cancer for 2 1/2 years now) and people keep mentioning it. :0( I really need to do something about not so much the weight but at least eating better and gaining some energy back. I think at this moment I am crushed. :0(

On a plus side, I did find out that my best friends are having a little girl (due in July) and I am getting ready to start knitting a blanket for them. :0)

So I definately still havent completely project using my old cds but i am working on it. i have been a bit under the weather but today I did break out my paints and started working on painting some flower pots to use as wedding centerpieces. Its a Frog Prince Theme. I am really excited but it is a lot of work! I will post some pictures here on my blog in a sec. So feel free to stop by and check out my first one. I need a smaller brush for outlining though. :0(

Can you Help Our Team?

As some of you know from my groups, I was diagnosed with a rare form of sarcoma in 2006. I was given 6 months to live however 2 years later here i am still fighting. For the last 2 years my team (Team Snowflake) and I have participated in the events for St. baldricks. For those who don't know what this is. St. baldrick's is an organization where people volunteer to raise money to shave their heads. All the money goes toward childhood cancer and is tax deductible! Unfortunately this year we are not hosting an event in my home area however a member of our team is hosting and even live right now in Wichita Falls, Tx. The best part is that her 8 year old son Alex is one of the shavees.
Each year so far we have reached out goals starting in 2007 when Sister Snowflake shaved her head and raised only $40 which was great because she was added as a shavee last minute. Then in 2008, Jennifer, who is holding the event right now in Tx. Flew to Pa to shave her head along side of me (the first and only year I had real hair to do so) and together our Team raised over$1100.

Well right now Alex is preparing to shave his head and could use all our help. He is currently sitting at $270 and his goal is$1000. Hi! I haven't been feeling the greatest but have been pushing through. (yucky cancer) But I have been trying to figure out how to recycle all my used cds and I have decided to use scrap booking stuff and pictures of my family to makes hanging wall collages to go with a quote i got to hang on my wall. It says "Laughter sparkles like a splash of water in sunlight". It is suppose to be for your bathroom but I have it in my bedroom so I am taking pictures of my family and friends that are laughing and just funny things. :0) Otherwise making puppets for a fund raiser coming up next week for Childhood cancer Awareness. Hope everyone is doing well. time Flies... I hope you feel better soon!

Hi Kelly and all! I was just dropping in to see what everyone is up to. I'm on a quilting kick right now so my photo studio is being a tad neglected. I did print my first 11X17 on my new printer. It is so huge compared to my little 8x12 prints. I am hoping to have at least 5 dynamite prints for our Art Museum show in May. That is a lot when I consider my competition will be semi-pros! Well, if I get to hang one then it will all be worth it. Meanwhile, I am enjoying life.

Miserable? Well, only if you think dressing for the weather is the right thing to do. Otherwise, you never know what to dress for.

That must be miserable. I usually dress in layers because I have to go between buildings so much. My classroom is about 25 yards from my office. I always have a rain jacket with me just in case.

My room at work gets so HOT! It's terrible because you can't dress for the season. I have to wear something light enough so I don't die of heat stroke, but warm enough that when I'm not there I don't freeze.

I am tired of the snow. today was sunny and just barely warm enough to start melting the snow.

It's cold everywhere - here in GA it was 13 this morning - and no one in GA knows what to do with the cold. But Spring will get here EVENTUALLY - just like EVENTUALLY - we will meet our goals of losing weight - and getting fit. One step at a time!

Will it ever warm up here in Ohio. I have been so darn cold at work all week. I think I am going to be buying a heater for work because my office is cold cold cold. I have two very large windows in my office and normally I like them.... but not when I realized that my office is colder because of them.

Is Spring ever going to get here. It is like 12 degrees today and not fun at all.

I had a busy, busy weekend - out with friends on Friday night - Saturday night - AND Sunday! Eating out is so difficult and I have to say that from Friday morning until this morning I had a net gain of 0.2 pounds - but I'm actually pretty excited about that - I see that as maintaining - and that's OK.

Kelly, Keep up th good work.

After my kids popped popcorn for two nights in a row, I finnaly broke down to have some. Problem is, I didn't just have a little bowl... I ate the whole bag. I was so mad at myself. However, I got up early the next morning and worked out, and got right back on the wagon to my weight loss.

We can do this!!!

What plans does everyone have this weekend?

Tod and I have a busy weekend. We are calling it our parents weekend. On Saturday, We are going to pick up Tod's dad from his Rehab hospital. He has been there since the 7th and is doing great. He is 78 and had Spine Surgery. The doctors said they are amazed at how good he is doing and says it is because he was so fit and healthy before the surgery. Then on Sunday, We are going over to my mother's house to take her shopping for a recliner. My step father died just over a month ago and it was his recliner that she wants to replace.

Plus... I have to get in more exercise. I have to say last night was a battle within myself. I was pretty set on not walking on the treadmill last night. I went into my bedroom to put on my jammies, but ended up putting my workout clothes on. I knew I would be disappointed if I didn't do it.... so I actually walked for 60 mins to prove to myself that can do it even when I don't feel like it!

It is so hard to make yourself exercise when your body isn't cooperating. But, you did. Sometimes I look for excuses not to exercise and then feel guilty about it later. You did great!! Keep up the good work.

I am proud of myself. I actually walked on the treadmill for 40 minutes last night with bad cramps. My husband said I should take the night off... but I said I am not using it as an excuse... because I am the queen of excuses!

Tonight will be a challenge for me to work out because right now I have major cramps. I am sitting at work not liking life right now :) Normally, I would use it as an excuse, but I can't keep making excuses anymore. Good Morning everybody!!

Thank god for Wednesday--I take Wed. and Friday off, no exercise. Well, no formal exercise. I work in the field and walk around outside most of the day. I have been trying hard to squeeze exercise in. Last night I walked for about an hour. I have to do it as soon as I get home from work or I will eat. Something about the end of the work day that makes me hungry!! Ya'll have a great day.

I feel the same way! I can't workout after work if I don't go downstairs the moment I get home.

I go right upstairs, change, work-out and then I'm ready to be 'at home.' Otherwise, if I have to wait any amount of time, I have excuses.

I look at it this way, if I would have gone to a gym then I wouldn't have been home until I finished anyway. This way I save time, money and I've exercised.

Good luck! Getting into a routine helps. I know about the feet. I work on my feet all day. I have noticed though, when I'm under 170# they don't hurt as much. And they hurt even less the more I lose. But my feet have always hurt, even when I was in my 20's and 135#.

It is so hard to get the energy to work out after a long day at work.... but I know I need to do it. Tonight was day two on the treadmill and as I sit here my feet hurt. I realized that I have to keep doing this and I can't stop trying!

My computer had to go to the doctor, so I have been out for a couple of days. I lost 4.5 lbs. last week !!!! It was my first week, and I know my losses won't be that great in the future--but it was a fantastic boost. I have gotten my exercise so far this week. I rode my bike for 3.5 hours Sunday and walked for an hour last night. Good luck to everyone and have a great day!! :)

I am going to keep my head up ... even though I had a gain of .6 pounds this week. I am not going to get discouraged.

Here in Ohio we got about 10 inches of snow. It is crazy here. I am hoping the roads are ok by now because I am heading out to work.

Good Morning everybody. I love to exercise-but outside. I hate that "caged" feeling of being inside, especially on a treadmill. I work in construction so I get plenty of the outdoors. It is also a fantastic place to find "goodies" to work with. I make all kinds of things from construction debris. Ya'll have a great day.

Hi all
I made a memory quilt with pictures for my sisters 50th birthday.Starting with pictures of her childhood\to her holding her first grandchild.She loved it.

I love my treadmill,,I like to listen to disco while I walk.

This time next year,I will be glad I didn't QUIT today!

When I do the elliptical I like to listen to upbeat music. TV and slow songs just keep me plodding and I can't go faster no matter what.

I hope you like House. I'm not a fan. Being in healthcare, I find it unrealistic.

So... My husband got his new TV last night and started to set it up. I am hoping that by Wednesday it will be up and running, so I can walk on the treadmill and watch TV. We bought the TV series of HOUSE, so I am going to watch that while I walk on the treadmill. I have never seen an eposide of it but we here it is good!

I was a photography major in college, so I always like to hear what people do with photos. I am actually surprised I have never gotten into scrapbooking.... yet :)

HI. I MOSTLY PLAY AROUND WITH PICTURES. I LIKE TO TAKE PICTURES AND PUT THEM ON SHIRTS. I ALSO LIKE TO TAKE MY PICTURES AND PUT THEM ON A CLEAR GLASS PLATE. I HAVE MADE MY WHOLE FAMILY A GROUP PICTURE OF US ALL ON A PLATE AND GAVE TO THEM ALL ONE. IT WAS MY LAST GROUP PICTURE TOGETHER BEFORE MY DAD PASSED AWAY. WOULD LIKE TO DO OTHER STUFF ALSO. You have to make up something better than tripping through your front door! It does not make for an interesting tale.

Today was a good day for me. I did day one of the Boot Camp, sewed a bit which I haven't done for eons, and put things up on Etsy.

I need to clean my craft room. It's been a work in progress for 2 years. So most of the stuff I put up on Etsy was de-stashing my supplies.

I really feel like I've accomplished a lot today. And I hope the Boot camp momentum drives me straight on to the 31st!

I was walking into my hose this morning from letting the dog in. I was going up the 1 step to my front porch and I tripped and flew into the door handle and smashed my face into the door handle.... and I tried to help break my fall, so I put out my hand, which only caused me to her my wrist.

I think I am going to have a great story to tell all my customers as to why I am black and blue under my eye and my wrist is swollen.

I am so glad 2009 is almost here! Does anyone have any holiday plans for today or tomorrow?

My husband Tod and I will actually be staying in this evening... which is a good thing because we got hit with snow today.(We live in NE Ohio) I think tomorrow we do not have any set plans, but probably cleaning the house and organizing bills. I know it sounds exciting, so I hope you all don't get jealous!

That is great you got your area cleaned up. I am not looking forward to it myself. I have some many things I need to organize. My goal is to be done within 2 weeks because we are having people over to our house that have never ben here before. I know everyone will want to see my studio.... UGH!

It did get cleaned, sort of (we have open space in the middle of the room . . . clean enough) and then the girl made her Little Red Riding Wolf and well, it looks like the Woodcutter got started on the wolf with all the fur on the floor.

Just stopped by to say hello and see what was up! I just joined. I'm not working on any project at the moment, but I have quite a few waiting for me.

My first step, though is to clean up my play (craft) room. Right now its such a mess with both my daughter and I doing this, that and the other. Of course, she is messier than I am.

Hey Everyone....

I am sorry for being MIA for awhile. My families life has been crazy since July when my step-father was told he had pancreatic cancer. He lost his battle to cancer last week, since broke our hearts. We are just trying to get back to our normal lives and that means getting back on track with losing weight and to get this group active again.

Friday I had my class make a craft for their Thanksgiving table. We took construction paper and made it round with a piece of paper on the bottom. So it was like a bowl. Then took some pretty wide ribbon with leaves on it and put it around the round part. Filled it with potpourri and a prety gold leaf. The parents loved them when they came in.

Hi everyone. Just got back from delivering Thanksgiving baskets to those who applied through our Loaves and Fishes. My DH and I took 31 baskets. Should have taken more. THey had at least 700 to deliver but I also heard there was 1200. Any way good workout. Up and down stairs.

I haven't seen snow yet. But it has snowed in Colorado.

Last night we went to see the movie Fire Proof with Kirk Cameron. It is a christian movie about a couple's marriage almost to end. Great movie.

It is cold here today. I only work a half day today and then will come home and clean house before the weekend hits.

I think any time we are up and moving is a workout. Yesterday I got up and walked with Leslie Sansone and today I got up at 5 and got on my elliptical. Now to see if I can do this all week. I love to do it first thing and get it over with.

Hello team! I am doing much better, or let me say I did much better on Monday. I actually got things accomplished and drank my water. Still I didnt actually exercise, I had to pick up pecans, I think that is execise! I was on the ground. No pecan picker for me, about 2 hours straight. Isn't that exercise?? I've had a bit of a rough week. I decided to try a new working on Tuesday and have been barely able to move the past few days... Today I feel a little stiff but thats about it. I am hopeing to get back into the swing of things on monday. I miss my workouts. I have 2 more work days then I have days off to work on my christmas present ideas and get the house cleaned up. I can't wait. I'm rather looking forward to it!
