Orky, I see your status says you signed up for a HM. Which one? And did you find the type of training program you were looking for?

I think you could easily find a training schedule for walking a half or adjust a beginner half training schedule to a walk/run schedule to suite your needs. Just make sure that the half you choose does not have a time limit that would concern you.
Best of luck to you!

When I was training to do mine I used a run/walk program and during the run portion I picked up the pace outside of my comfort zone and during the walking I slowed it down to catch my breath...after my training I took my regular walking pace from about a 14:45 min/mi after this training I can now walk a 5k in less than 38 minutes...you will notice improvements in your pace rather quickly

Does anyone know anything about any walk training programs for half marathons? I signed up for one and I know I've got to get training practically immediately :) I walk most and jog probably about a mile of it. I just walked a 10k in about 15 min a mile, so I really think it is doable but I am not sure if I should just modify a running training program or what.
