Awesome to get a PB and great idea to get a nice rub down after the race. Keep up the good work.

I achieved a new PB! 1:58:25.
Also my first half marathon time below two hours.
After the race I took advantage of the physic massage that was being offered. The physic pointed out that I have a very tight calf muscle, which could account for the sore foot.

Thanks, I went for a very brief run and slow run today. It was fine. Icing it is helping the most, which I'll keep doing. I'm not panicking anymore, I think it'll be okay.

My advice would be to rest it. Maybe take a small run the day before the race and then see how you feel.

If you noticed the tape job on my profile picture that is part of my problem. I would recommend to keep taking ibprofin or alieve to help with pain and inflammation. Also you might try to roll your foot on a ball like a lacrosse or tennis ball. Just some gentle massage.

Good luck if it persists see a doctor and ask to see a physical therapist. My PT made all the difference.

Side of my foot between my ankle and my baby toe, more towards the top of my foot than the bottom. I've had a bit of chronic pain there for a long time, but nothing extreme and nothing that has become aggravated or worse - until yesterday!

It's actually much better this morning. It's not hurting when I walk on it, but I can still feel an ache. Fortunately I can stay at home today, so I've decided to keep it up as much as possible. I think something is just inflamed.

I am currently suffering from a foot injury that took me out of a half marathon so I feel your pain. That being said it doesn't mean you are sidelined. It depends on where and how intense the pain is.

Where is the pain? Ankle, heel or side of the foot, bottom of the foot?

My right foot began aching this evening. It's my taper week, and I did not run today, so I'm not sure where the pain came from, but now I'm concerned because I'm running a race on Friday evening.
I've iced it, taken an ibuprofen and am resting it. I should be running a short slow 5km tomorrow. Should I not run tomorrow?
I'm prepared and training has been on track, but it has been a stressful month. I'm hoping it's just tense muscles and that the pain will be less tomorrow.
I'm not sure what to do. I'd like to run the race on Friday, but don't know how to best prepare myself now that my foot is sore.
This is my third half marathon, and I generally know my body and it's quirks well.I want to run the race, but understand I may have to compromise my time, or even not do it, if this persists.
