Well done BE that's a great result. The ticker seems to have given a few of us a similar problem, I can't remember how it can be fixed. Can anyone else remember?
I'm with you Jenye, I am not moving at all this week on the scales. I think my serving portions must be larger than I think, I'll have to start weighing again. It's amazing how those portions can creep up on me. Yesterday I had to have a recovery day with just light exercise after the gruelling walk on Sunday.

I'm down 6lbs :) I know it is coming off quickly right now and that won't stay that way :) The quick early loss does help keep me motivated.

My ticker shows my weight in kgs and I can't seem to find where to change it in lbs. Oh well :)

Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, Bootcamp, walking Buddy plus an average calorie intake of around 1500 have produced great results. I weighed in this morning and have lost 2.1kgs for the week. The best thing is that, overall, I feel great! emoticon

Ah Katty, it's just a feeling that I have that on an extra hot day the scales can be affected.

Hope you are feeling better Margaret, the hot weather can get to us. My daughter, who has severe rheumatoid arthritis, was told that it affects the viscosity of the joints and that can lead to spikes. We who are not affected by rheumatoid arthritis probably feel it to a lesser extent.

Katty - you might also have a bit of an allergy to something that means you retain fluid or your scales may be feeling the heat.
Yesterday, I was hopeless after the dentist and although I couldn't eat much I couldn't exercise either, just lay down on bed and felt sorry for myself. Better today though and exercise has been going round the Healesville Sanctuary with the grandkids. My pedometer has broken too. emoticon

Bootcamp video today, and I moved more around the house.

Yesterday morning I weighed in and was 3 kilos up! My top weight ever! And it scared me because I thought I had been doing well. So I was VERy serious all day yesterday. Today i weighed in again and guess what? I had lost the 3 kilos! So, it was either water or my scale is making fun of me!

That's excellent Jenye. Twice as good as me, I'm down 200grams but am happy with that. As you say at least it is down.

I did this early in the day, then relaxed in the afternoon. I am posting this again - had to turn off the computer as we had a thunderstorm.

Sandy, I agree about abs, but it is possible. I think it just takes a lot of cardio to get rid of the fat, in combination with a variety of crunches etc, to build muscle, done consistently every day plus eating healthy foods. I find the tops of my arms are lagging behind, but I am confident that they will get firmer in time.

I was just about to go for a walk down to the shops when my daughter arrived so it was just the trips up and down stairs and normal day to day things that added up to my 7200 steps yesterday - not so good but at least it was something. Fantastic team, we are moving our bodies.

Yesterday was a big socializing day but when I got onto Sparks last thing at night it motivated me to do my strength exercises and the bootcamp workout. I did manage to get 4k in on the pedometer but some of it was marching round the coffee table. :)

I jumped out of bed this morning and hopped straight onto the exercise bike for 5 minutes. Saw my dumbells lying on the floor beside my chair looking very unloved. So there and then I decided that they needed a good workout. Reading of Debys affirmation has certainly given me a different outlook on my life. emoticon

I love your encouragment Jenye and Sandy. Yes Bootcamp is getting easier thank goodness.


emoticon Sandy, you're doing so well. I don't mind doing crunches either and it's great that you are keeping up with your cardio, steps and strength. I've had to put more air into my ball as well, I think it will be a process of trial and error to find how much feels right.

Jeyne, I think it's wonderful that you're with us in spirit, cheering us on. It's really appreciated. emoticon

I am really enjoying my workouts at the moment and the good feeling lasts all day!

Thanks Margaret.

Bootcamp seems to be getting a little easier. I think I need to blow my ball up a bit.
I've started doing a variety of crunches whenever I get up every day and apart from that am staying on course with cardio, steps and strength.

Another good day and I feel great. I try to get all my workouts done before midday, otherwise it is far to hot to do anything. Luckily I am an early riser.

Pilates 30mins
Ashtanga Yoga Practice 60mins (I love doing Pilates and Yoga after cardio to stretch out as well as for health, mind/body balancing and the calming relaxing benefits.
