Great attitude Hungrywoman !! I just got my copy of the 28 Day Bootcamp with Coach Nicole in the mail last Thursday. I have yet to start the program, but that happens this week. It will be the gym today and starting the DVD tomorrow for strength training!! Looking forward to some positive changes soon !!! Deb

I tried a new yoga routine. It is supposed to be for beginners, but very challenging for me. I don't know about being a favorite, but I do plan to master it.

Hah! I did the first 2 exercises in the warm up before the kids told me to sit down and get out of their way. The plus side... I did get to watch the warm up and all 3 circuits plus the stretches, and it's all things that I know are safe for me to do with my back issues, minus maybe one, but even that might be okay if I work up to it.

URBANAUDREYE, my best friend here in town has a daughter who works in a circus. Or a least she did until she ran off with another carney to Aruba. She worked in the midway area with the games. She loved it when the circus was in town. She thought that it was the best job ever. Deb

Okay, well I'm not going to say it's my favorite yet, but last night at the fair I picked up the workout DVD I've been waiting for since November. The Circus Stella workout! emoticon If I can get even remotely as strong as Jana Lee, it would be like a dream come true. Have I ever mentioned that I've always wanted to join the circus?

This week it is Coach Nicole's 28 Day Bootcamp DVD in addition to the Exercise of the Day and my Challenge. I can't get to the gym right now, so I am using the DVD routines in place of that. Micah is out of school and Jeni's days off have been jam packed for her, so I have had to sacrifice my gym days. I would love to take a yoga class with someone who is hands on as a teacher. The only yoga available to me so far has been a class at the gym, but I don't like it because the instructor doesn't help you with the moves or the breathing. I am so bad right now. I am not doing physical therapy in the pool like I was doing. And I have yet to get back to doing PT on land at home. I really need to take the time to start the PT at home as right now I am not able to get away to swim. Meanwhile, I have been getting in 6000 or more steps a day. That is progress for me!!

I try to do "the exercise of the day" every day that I can. Sometimes I can't do it because it involves a piece of equipment that I don't have, like a foam roller or a piece of gym equipment that I don't know how to use. I have been joining challenges from Sparkpeople Challenge Central. I've done the 30 day Jumpstart Your Workout Challenge, the 30 Day Spring Shape Up Challenge and currently I am doing the 28 Day Home Workout Challenge. I find it easier to set up a routine if I use the challenge system here . I go to the gym three times a week to walk the treadmill and use the elliptical. I do strength training at home right now. I hope to be able to afford a personal trainer soon who can teach me a gym strength training routine with the machines and to join a couple of classes at the gym before the school year starts up again. emoticon

I love Zumba but I need to get in a bit better shape before I go. When I was in better shape it was so hard so I know I need to get better before I can go again

Hey everyone,

Read the Spark people article on finding your exercise that fits your goals/personality. I think I've finally found mine, which is why I am slowly losing the weight. I LOVE my hikes and schedule them 2x a week; one is more of a fitness hike and the second is more of a leisure hike where I take pictures and calm myself with nature. With both of these I get my social interaction in it because I coordinate it with a group. With bipolar is important for us. I then have my solo workouts during the week which are more fast paced and include weight training. I look forward to the challenging walks and trying to beat my last mph. I look forward to the weight training exercises afterwards.
