thank you all, It could be SAD because since the time changed it has been worse. I do have a light box and used it this morning. I feel a little better today than I did yesterday. I am not drinking sweet tea or regular pop today. I have started drinking water and diet pop again. I know its not much but every little step adds up. I may even take a walk this evening, who knows. lol

first of all pat yourself on the back for losing all of that weight . When I feel Unmotivated I try to make one small goal to do like walking for 10min. THEN i move on from tere to add another small goal and then keep going until I am back where I want to be.

Sounds like SAD. You might want to look into one of those sunlight therapy lamps. I'm surprised that your therapist didn't offer anything more helpful. My therapist usually advises me to find/schedule something to look forward to. When you have something to look forward to, you have more motivation to get up and go. Fitness wise, signing up for a 5k works wonders in my opinion. I "ran" one Easter Saturday in 2014 and while I had signed up the previous October, in late December I herniated 2 discs in my back. I was in pain, and lost all motivation to want to do anything, but I knew I had that 5k coming up, and I spent enough money on the entrance fee that I refused to back out. My husband thought I should have just backed out with how things were going for me, but I went, and I completed it, and it felt wonderful... until the DOMS the next morning. Plenty of Turkey Trots coming up, maybe sign up for one.

hello, I have bipolar, and I take all my medicines as prescribed. I have been trying successfully to lose weight slowly over the last year. I have done fairly well. I have lost just over 50 pounds. I have really enjoyed sparkpeople and going to gym. However, since october, I have just given up on all of it. I quit the gym and quit counting calories. This is the first time I have been on sparkpeople in a while also. I have gained back 11 pounds and feel horrible physically. I know all this points to depression and I talked with therapist about it today. One thing he said is sticking with me. He said " how much will it take and how far will I let it go, until I get back on track again" That is a good question. I need to get back on track but seem to have lost all interest in it. Does anyone have any tips for finding motivation when you feel down like this? I would love to here some suggestions. Thanks.
