It is time to increase your weight when you can easily do 12 - 15 reps. In general, go up a small amount, If you can do 12 but the last couple are tough, this is the right weight. A math calculation is complicated and not always very helpful. For arms, go up by 1 - 2 pounds and for back and legs go up 5 pounds. Then go by the 12 reps above. You may be able to go up more since you are doing 15 - 20 reps easily. Be sure to do each rep slowly and completely. You should bring the weight down as slowly as you do up and pretend you are pulling the weight through heavy, thick mud. I am an Exercise Physiologist but always get the advice of a physician and or professional. : )

I don't know, but they do have a forum to ask trainers and people with experience to help you. Let's see if I can find a link for you.

I don't have any real experience with it but I believe it's suggested to increase by 5%

I have 5lb dumbbell weights. I can now do 15 side lifts (lifting arms straight from my sides) and I can do more than 20 bicep curls. Should I increase my weights and by how much? I read an article about this but I want to know your experiences.
