also remember that nothing should be off limits per se .... if it's on a NO list you'll immediately want it and crave it and no amount will be satisfying

instead .. portion control is key ... and try graduating to the healthier version of the item

i used to eat bologna slices as a snack ... well earlier this year i bought regular and a turkey bologna variety that is way healthier... had the regular as backup in case it was awful. it wasn't awful. and a couple months of that and i ate it less and less and now i don't eat it at all.

Thanks for all the answers. I am trying to drink more water. It seems to be helping. I also ate some beans and rice for supper and it was very filling with few calories. I am vegetarian and since I have gone vegetarian I have become more open to trying new foods. I eat a very broad selection of foods now. But none of the healthy ones seem to stop the cravings.

Some medications make you crave carbs, such as Seroquel...I even had that experience with Benedryl as I was taking it as a sleeping medication...the minute I stopped them the cravings went away...It is so important to keep good carbs in the house or those chocolate covered almonds...a small amount...protein bars are excellent, but remember they can contain 18-23 Gms of carbs as well...
Its your brain that is craving the sweet...so it is difficult to control...I used oranges for the fiber and the sweetness...the fiber was excellent in controlling my high cholesterol and the sweet taste controlled the carb craving (even when off the meds I must control...when I was on them it was extremely difficult) Lots of water...carrots, pop corn for noshing...hope this helps

i don't remember any med making me hungry. i get nauseous with some and i eat.

probably best to use this site and find better more healthy foods and snack foods that will keep you full .. like protein and insoluble fiber ...

it's taken me a long time to figure out there's more food and more options out there than just the same 20 items I've eaten almost my whole life.

I have been on so many different meds I can't remember which ones made me eat like that. What I usually tried was eating proteins. Or if I needed sweets then a few dark chocolate covered almonds. Right now it's cipralex making me crave carbs around midnight.

I am on Abilify. I have finally, I hope, gotten stable. But I'm hungry all of the time. Has anyone else experienced this? And how do you get rid of that feeling? I just want to eat all of the time.
