I have a goal to fit into my wedding ring by June 10th. I'm a size 14 now so that means size 10. I don't how many pounds that means but I truly think I can do it. If I miss the mark then by end of the year definitely.

Kimberly, congratulations on hitting 220.
My answer to the question is when I get serious about setting goals, when I stop allowing my "feelings" to dictate what I eat, when I can be serious about what I want to accomplish.
Until then I will not be able to hit any goal.

I should be at my goal weight by Oct. 31. Still sounds a bit depressing and a long way off, but even by summer I should be in pretty good shape for playing outdoors in the sun and water. I'm also recovering from anorexia. So, it's hard to think that "just" 2 pounds a week is okay. However, I'm trying to be healthy and smart - two pounds a week is a wonderful thing!

Congratulations on 220 Kimberly!

I'm also working on becoming better at making goals, and currently have a few going on.
The one I'll be tracking with Spark is losing 10lbs by September.

i still haven't honed the skill of setting goals ... i think this time (for me) i wanted to focus on healthier eating and living... which is the majority of weight loss. and now i can add in walking and other exercises to hopefully get there faster and maintain.

SP recently reminded me of the goal i set mid last year. i didn't know what to pick so i just randomly picked a weight and a date. i think it's 214lbs by 2/17/13 ... i guess i could have said 214lbs by 2/14/13 but i hate that date. ... fri i hit 220 so i'm psyched.

i guess i was more focused on just being thinner and healthier as opposed to SP motivation of small achievable goals. ... i know it's a long journey ... forever.. not just until June or Feb

How are you measuring your year? Speeding tickets, cups of coffee, love

I calculated, based on losing 1-2 pounds per week, that I will reach my goal weight by June. I feel great knowing this because I am always disappointed one week into trying to lose weight that I did lose 40 pounds overnight. Now I can focus on one day at a time while having fantasies of laying at my pool in a bikini in June!!!!
