My doctor put me on the rotation diet years ago when my lactose intolerance first appeared. It works well and is quite simple...just rotate the foods you eat to no more than once every 3 days. I don't have to even think about it now...just think when I had a certain food last. I just avoid dairy...but have found a lot of alternatives to satisfy the dairy component.

I forgot I'm also taking Sublingual allergy drops, 1 drop under the tongue 3 times daily.

glad to find a spot that other people understand these allergies. Is there a spot on the website that provides recipes for allergic people? I'm thinking it would be quite difficult to address all of the allergens, but I'm looking for something good to eat, that tastes like something. I've been using some vegan recipes. I just wish they'd make a fake egg to eat. i miss them so much.

Hi Everyone,
I'm the new kid on the block. I have ragweed allergies, which have now gone into the related food allergies. Milk, cheese, any dairy products basically, citrus, melons, lettuce, spinach, fish, eggs, chocolate, bananas, tomatoes, plums, avocados, red wine, strawberries, alcohol, and mint. Try being on a diet of any type without eating lettuce. I have gotten creative, my new lettuce is brocolli slaw or carrot match stix, not exactly the same but at least I got that crunch sensation we all need.

I can tolerate chocolate, thank goodness since I'm a devote chocoholic. I used to crave all of the above items, the more I ate the worse I felt. So I have eliminated them from my diet. I'm able to have the occasional glass of wine, but only one or two. I admit, I also slip in the chocolate, but very little otherwise I seem to want more. My allergist told me that when we're allergic to foods those are the foods we crave the most, or we otherwise dislike them the most. Which explains why I don't like fish at all.

Recently my GP put me on a new supplement L-Glutamine 500 mg (2 x daily), she indicated that this will help heal my intestinal wall and allow me to tolerate some of the foods better. I'm also on Zyrtec 10 mg, Singular 10 mg, and Veramyst nasal spray. I'm finding the Glutamine is really clearing up my nasal passage which always seemed blocked on the right side. And no side effects either, it's fairly inexpensive compared to the singular, so I figured it's worth it. I'm feeling better these days also. I would definetly recommend the glutamine.

When I did this I was under the allergists care, weekly immunotherapy, and plenty of meds.

It's not a weight loss diet. It's a diet where you eliminate all of you food allergens from your diet, then you allow yourself one of your allergens on a rotation basis. For me, corn & mold were the two I used in the rotation. Every fourth day I ate either a corn product OR a mold product (mold - think cheese, yeast, anything fermented, etc).

I can and do eat corn and cheese now. BUT, I would feel better if I didn't. I still keep an eye on what I'm eating. I try to avoid added corn to products, rarely eat corn itself. I did feel better back when I ate on the rotation diet. I was also getting shots and was under the weekly care of an allergist then. Now, I take a double dose of zyrtec with doses of benadryl for "rescue". Also at times take a nasal inhalant (flonase), but not daily like I used to. And when my eyes get "sticky" I take some allergy eye drops.

Do you mean now you know you CAN eat corn and cheese? Did you find some foods you were allergic to? I am trying to figure out if certain foods make me very sleepy. I often get sleepy after eating. Chris

I have to be diligent about caring for myself. 100 DAYS OF WEIGHT LOSS is a great way for me to keep focused. Day 1 is July 1, 2017. Build habits to produce success. Most of these habits I have at least tried before but did not sustain. First habit: delay eating by using a timer.

I used to. It really made corn and mold (aka cheese) available to me, and enjoyable. But I've let that go over the past several years. I know I'd feel better if I went back to it.....

How is everyone?
Have you ever done the rotation diet? It works well with me for many of the foods I am allergic to.
