My goal for the end of the month is to break the 205 mark and be at 203. In order to do so...I am going to track all my nutrition to insure that I am taking in just the right amount of calories. I am going to keep drinking nothing but water and 2 to 3 glasses of skim milk. I am not going to eat any meat 3x a week. The what seems like an impossible task of no eating after 8pm. Everything tastes so much better when my 8 o'clock shows start. lol

My August Goals:

* Lose 10lbs as per the challenge
* Eat servings of 6-8 servings of Fruits/veg daily
* Reward myself after the 10lbs loss.
* Leave the 180ville

I just wanted to encourage you on the couch to 5k program. I am currently doing it with my sister-in-law and I am on the end of the second week. I originally did this when I was getting ready for the Navy and it was wonderful!!

I HAVE A 3 YEAR OLD AND A 4 YEAR OLD. I USE TO DREAD GETTING OUT OF THE HOUSE WITH THEM, TOO. JUST DO IT (THINK I HAVE HEARD THAT SOMEWHERE BEFORE, LOL). IT GETS EASIER EVERY TIME. AS THE KIDS GET USE TO IT THINGS GO SMOOTHER. IT CAN STILL BE A STILL BE A STRUGGLE SOME DAYS BUT IT IS WORTH GETTING OUT OF THE HOUSE.

Trying to save money and gas I feel like I've turned into a hermit. Plus, I'm a little discouraged to get out much by myself with a 4 month old and a 17 month old.
My goals are to get out of the house (besides morning walks) every other day and to track my food every day.

5) Create a new routine and workout schedule that I can stick to without excuses. I always say that I don't have time to work out but I need to remind myself that if something is important, I need to make the time. This is important! August will be my month.

August goals:
1. Lose 10 pounds
1b(exercise 90 mins/day-5dys, eat/drink no more than 1500 cals)
2.Get control of my weekends(no longer regain the weight I've lost during the week on weekends)
2b. plan meals + stick to them,pack and carry more
2c. rest 1 day during the week so I have to workout on Saturday.

Well right now I can only run 1/2 mile without walking...so by the end of the month my goal is to run 3/4 of a mile. My second goal is to start weight lifting with my arms and chest twice a week EVERY week. Last but not least I'm going to start The Firm aerobics again, at least once a week.

I have had a rugh few months and saw that I gained 4 more lbs, for me that's alot because I'm back at 200 lbs aaahhhh. so august I will stop the soda drinking, the bread intake and get a book for my over eating. and yes I will set my minutes to 500 in te month of august. I did 400 this month.

I am new to this group but not to SP. I am a 39-year-old single mom of a 3 & 4 year old so I have time and kids going against any weight loss effort. LOL My August goals are:

1) Try to stay in the upper part of my calorie range, I have found myself around the bottom or below it most days (not counting a few beers in the evening). I count the beer but want my food to be in the calorie range.

2) With the heat and humidity and no air conditioner, the cardio is rough. I will be doing my cardio in 10 or 15 minute increments. I have a Leslie Sansone dvd that is good about breaking down the miles.

3) Continue to use my folks' treadmill at least 2 times a week (they have AC). I am entering a 5K in September and have to keep the cardio up to be able to finish the race.

4) Try to remember that my kids are only 3 & 4 years old. I have a low tolerance for 'stupidity'. Such as having to tell someone numerous times how to do something, etc. They are only kids.

5) Keep drinking my 8 or more glasses of water a day.

6) I almost forgot one of the most important goals, to stop smoking, FINALLY!!!

New to this team, so here goes.
August Goals.
1. Make a point to spend more one on one time with each child-min. of 15 min. each night.
2. Organize at least one area each week. Like a closet, cabinet, etc.
3. Cardio at least 30 min a day.
4. Just to be a little happier person each day. SMILE.

My August goals are:

1. Continue cooking healthy meals for my family, even though I'm going back to work after my summer break.
2. Do at least 30 minutes of cardio every day. I'm proud of my progress for July. I have done 1,015 minutes so far. Didn't make my 1,200 minute goal, but I came close. I'd love to get it done in August.
3. Drink my water and eat my fruits and vegetables. I don't do well here and I need to make it a priority.

One of my goals is to stop cheating on the diet and not eat when I am bored. If I feel the urge I will play with my kido's or if I'm at home do a 10 min spark workout.

Stop skimping on the workouts too. I will push myself to go longer and not stop when it gets a little hard.

Well for August I need to keep up with my ST. My DH has lots of vacation days this month so it will be a challenge. I will wake up 30 min early to get the ST done before we head out for the day. I also will be more active throughout the days and average 12000 steps a day. (Right now I'm at about 11500)

I will eat 2 fruits and 3 veggies each day and continue to eat 3 whole grains everyday.

I am adding another....treat my kids with respect, spend more time with them, and remember they are still very young and I shouldn't be expecting them to act any older...

1. Drink ALL my daily water w/ no slacking. I am not allowed to drink anything else with a meal until I have drunk my water.

I really need to stay on track. One of my goals is to not eat when I am bored or eat just to eat. I will busy myself with my scrapbooking, hop on my elliptical or do some situps and pushups.

I want to do more cardio. Yesterday I started doing 30min on the elliptical but by the end of august I hope to be able to do about 45-60min each day on the elliptical.

I also would like to be more toned in my arms and abs. Each week I will up my reps by 5 for all my strength training exercises.

My cousin is getting married the end of September so these goals I have set will help me to lose weight before his wedding. I will reward myself with a new dress for the wedding (a few sizes smaller than I would buy now).

I don't want to get off track. I have had a hard emotional few weeks. My plan is everytime I think of my baby, I will light a candle, write down my thoughts and use all my energy for exercise.

I want to be stronger in my upper body & arms. I was told of a website called 100 pushups. It's a 6 week routine that challenges you to complete 100 push-ups.

I have started different challenge interval walk/jog routines on my treadmill. I plan to continue this for the month of August.

I am in a competition with my boyfriend. Next time we see each other face to face will be middle of September so we are wanting to suprise each other with our success.

My hardest goal will be not sharing my success with him over the phone. I'll be soo excited wanting to tell him about all my changes.

BE SPECIFIC!

It's monthly goal setting time again ladies. And be SPECIFIC!!! I don't want to see any "exercise more, eat more veggies, lose weight". That's an vague goal with no attainable success point. Not "lose x lbs."--define WHAT STEPS you will take to lose x lbs. The more defined your goal, the better chance you have to stay motivated and reach that goal. Write down your goals so you *remember* what they are. You can't reach success if you don't know what you're reaching for.
