A backyard pool, because it is private and I feel cleaner. I loved swimming in lakes when I was a kid we did lots of water skiing. My uncles had cabins and boats on Lake Michigan and I went to a summer camp on Lake Erie. I don't know if I would be able to do it now. I think it was Starr that mentioned all the BIG FISH that could take off a toe as perhaps a meal. emoticon

I wish I could play in the ocean. Another, thing I loved as a kid, BUT now I'm afraid. I guess as I get old "I just turn more and more into a scaredy cat. emoticon

Salt water pool at home. No chlorine. But I do go swim at the gym and do aqua aerobics. It's better for my joints.

I don't swim either. I don't like being in a bathing suit and I don't find swimming particularly enjoyable. If I had to choose it would be a kiddy pool I could stick my feet in while I sat on a comfortable chair with a good book. LOL. (I would be under a tree too).

I use a public pool. We are retired and go south for the winter. Our park is a 55+ park and has 2 great pools which are in use any time of the day by lots of people. I enjoy them!

I choose not to swim anymore. I have an ostomy and I do not want to risk its leaking and getting me all messy and the water disgusting.

I WOULD CHOOSE A BACKYARD PLASTIC POOL.

***PUBLIC POOL HAS CHLORINE, & HUMAN URINE & FECES IN IT.
***LAKE HAS MANY FISH WHO ARE MUCH BIGGER THEN ME....I'D MAKE A GOOD MEAL OR AT LEAST A SNACK.
***OCEAN HAS SHARKS AND A WHOLE LOT OF OTHER HUGE & MEAN FISH/MAMALS.
***RIVER ALSO HAS ~THINGS~ IN IT. ALTHOUGH WHEN I WAS A KID I SWAM WITH MY FAMILY IN RIVERS ALL THE TIME. BUT THEY WERE ALWAYS CLEAR RIVERS THAT YOU COULD SEE THE BOTTEM AND WHAT WAS AROUND YOU INSIDE THE WATER.

YES, I AM A SCARDY CAT!!!

Backyard pool. More private and less noise.
