I don't think so. My kids haven't been any good about organizing anything until this year on Mother's Day! It was a 1st and a shock!! She is 34 and the boys are 35 and 37. Our daughter then went on to have Father's Day and the Fourth of July at her home. We wondered if the kids had finally all "grown up".

I just got a call from her vacationing in Hawaii. She flew stand by and can't get a flight Minneapolis Friday. Missing a day of work too. Wants mom to get her from the airport. It is a change that I thought would never happen. emoticon emoticon emoticon for the nice comment. God bless!!..............Hugs...............Ei

Slow & steady makes a winner of us. Even if we hit pitfalls, get up. Know that a new day is right around the corner.
Try to be all that you can be. Work at it a day at a time.

That is SO cool that your daughter set up a last minute bar-b-q for you on Mother's Day. In a way, I think that spontaneous stuff works out better and is more fun anyway. emoticon emoticon I have 4 children & 7 grand children (all of whom are old enough to make plans & follow thru, if they so choose to), but I can't even remember the last time that they (my kids) celebrated Mother's Day. emoticon I hope that does not indicate that I am a REALLY BAD mother!! emoticon

Love all the love at first sight stories! God does have a way of working His plans on us. We just need to follow what comes into play.

To the spontaneous thought, did you just do something for the heck of it and didn't plan? We got a call on Mother's Day at 2PM from our daughter with the question, " What are you doing for Mother's Day, mom?" Nothing was it. She got a BBQ arranged with the entire family at her home and we were there enjoying the day at 4PM. A beautiful, spontaneous evening!! emoticon It was a blue ribbon day!!

Those are great stories - there's hope for me yet!! My best friend is always telling me to keep my eyes open, because God has someone for me....I'm still waiting!

I can't say I've done anything very spontaneous - the word doesn't get much use in my vocabulary let alone in my life. I'm a very by-the-book sort of person I'm afraid....and not much of a risk taker. Boring I know! I'm not much of a risk taker at all.

Very nice story Starr.... I do believe God had a hand in my relation with William. We have been together for 9 years now.... but I had 2 other husbands before (1 was abusive, the other was never there) and William had 3 wives before. It was fate that brought us together that day on the internet.

Hay there everybody....I meant my hubby when he was 18 & I was 16, thru my brother. They were best buddies. I loved him @ 1st sight, somehow, I KNEW that we were going to get married, just did not know when. He went on to join the Army & I went on to marry 1st husband. He was abusive in every way possible, but I had my two oldest kids by him (who I would not trade for anything). When my youngest then was 5 months old & husband had left me high, dry & alone, my now wonderful blessing of a husband came looking for me & the kids. We have been together every since. It will be 25 years in February. We also have a beautiful daughter together and he has one from his 1st marriage. God REALLY does know what he is doing, I am sure of that. His will, His time!! emoticon emoticon

You have me beat!! The most spontaneous thing I have done was meet the future man of my dreams with a midnight kiss on New Yrs. eve and engaged after 3 dates. That will be 40 yrs. in a couple weeks!!

What's the most spontaneous thing you've ever done?

For Me: I met my husband on line and in 5 days we were married. Never told the family what I did till after the wedding which was at City Hall at 4:00 pm.
