Good news!! The teeth, even though the tartar can cause heart disease, can wait. The heart has to be able to handle the anesthestic. Praying the tests are good too. Will watch for the update.

Well, that is good news about the heart murmur not getting any worse. Teeth are a problem though as other problems can stem from that. I will pray for her for tomorrow's tests.

Hi everybody,
Serena saw the vet today and she said Serena's heart murmur hasn't progressed in the past 8 months. She prescribed liquid antibiotics because Serena's teeth are so bad and can't be taken care of surgically at this time. Tomorrow we'll go back for x-rays of her chest and throat area. I don't even want to think ahead. There was a little excitement in the waiting room when a very large, hyper golden retriever slipped off his leash. No harm done but it was tense for a minute.
