Thanks Becky, I will follow-up with doctor. I appreciate your suggestion going off and seeing if it improves. I see my oncologist in December

I have not. I've been off of it for a few weeks now to see if my pain in my legs were from it, but I don't think so. I will be going back on it soon. The best way to find out if it is causing your problems is to go off it and see if it gets better. If it does, then go back on it and see if it comes back. Talk with your Dr. first of course. My Dr. told me no problem to go off of it and see. There are other meds you can take if it's a problem.

Becky

Hello Everyone,

Has anyone had skin issues while on tamoxifen. About one month ago I had to go to the emergency room because my lower leg swelled and I had what looked like a deep red bruise. ER diagnosed Cellulitis. Gave me antibiotics sent me home. A week later, after the redness seem to be fading it started all over again. My family doctor prescribed Bactrim, which I quickly discovered that I was allergic to it. He decided to send me to a Dermatologist, which described my condition as Stasis Dermatitis (blood pooling). I had been quite active prior to this incident walking 8-10 miles a week with 4 of those miles all uphill.

I never had any of these problems until I started taken Tamoxifen and I need there is a risk of blood clots with this drug. Has anyone else experience any blood pooling problems while on Tamoxifen? This is very discouraging.

Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels.
