Kay,
Though your day was not spent celebrating love, which we don't need a special day.it should be celebrated every day. You have so much more to celebrate. Your road to full recovery. A new and wonderful beginning. Best wishes to you and praying for a speedy recovery.

I spent my morning at the hospital recovering from breast surgery. We left around noon and I slept all the way home, then slept all night,

My valentine's day was unfortunately filled with a little stress. My eldest (adult) son and I had a disagreement just before I was due to go to counselling. He waited for me while I was in the counselling session and when I finished, he as usual acted like nothing happened. It gave me a opening to tell him how hurt I was because of the disagreement. He agreed we needed to sit down and have a good talk some day. We could not do it then because he worked in a few hours. I only saw my other son a short time, he didn't even mention it being valentines day, very typical for him. My daughter, she sent me a sweet message on facebook. Later her father bought her a box of chocolate that she gave me a couple of pieces (I didn't need more). Her father and I have been divorced for 7 years so I didn't expect any acknowledgement from him, which was totally OK with me. Later my daughter and I watched movies. So in the end, the day turned out better than expected.
Hope, you all had nice valentines day. Hope the weekend is a productive one and healthy eating.

After months of cold weather, today was over 80 degrees. I got to spend my lunch hour and break in the sun! That was my Valentine's gift.

I am single, and I'm not doing anything special tonight, but I am ok with that. I am very content to stay home where it's warm, with my two kitties. I posted a blog today with pictures of them.

I'm not the type that feels bitter or like a "loser" just because I am alone on Valentine's Day.

I am making a special dinner tonight. The restaurants are too busy to deal with. He has been craving an Italian Cream Cake so I am making one of those for him. As for movies, We will watch something we really enjoy together which is Who Dun it movies. You know the mysteries. We have been enjoying Sherlock Holmes and Midsommer Murders on Netflix. We will kick back together and take special care to be present to one another. It sounds like a perfect evening to me. emoticon

We've been married 25 years. We show each other our love every day. My husband turns on my electric blanket when it's cold, so my side of the best is toasty warm when I get home from work. He likes it cooler, so I turn off the furnace when I leave for work in the morning. I made him a nice sub for dinner last night. He comes and rescues me when my car won't start. Chocolates and flowers are easy. It's what you do the other 364 days that matters.

One stumble does not a failure make.

Everything in moderation.

John was planning to come down tomorrow and we were going to celebrate with Chinese food but the new weather forecast precludes it since our "possible sn*w showers" is now predicted to be 4 to 8 inches. :(

I did send him an e-card from jacquielawson.com and he called me this morning with Valentine wishes.

"When Harry Met Sally" is a great romantic film, I think, that appeals to a lot of folks. My favorite is probably "Shirley Valentine."

We don't exchange gifts because we treat each other to little things all year long.

Don't have plans to go out to dinner and have not bought any cards, but will be seeing my adult sons and daughter. I show my love by big hugs and kisses and telling them I love them and how proud I am of them. Every day!

Happy Valentine's Day! Do you do any kind of celebrating, any gifts, cards, candy, etc? Are you going out for dinner, or bringing it in, maybe making it? Do you have any suggestions for a romantic V-day type movie? Most important is..., how can you show love to someone today?
