I never set any goals last year because everything was too unsettled. I just wanted to get to here and I did!

My fitness goal was 6200 for this year, and right now I am at 7847, and the year is not quite over yet!

I probably won't set my goal as high for 2014 though; the chemo has been getting harder on me physically since October, and I've been having to take a couple of days off during the weeks that I have chemo. My goal for 2014 will be 7500.

My name is Shari; I have been a Sparker since July 2006, I am now in hospice care for metastatic breast cancer, but I'm not letting cancer stop me from Sparking!

My fitness goal was to exercise at least 10 minutes, 3 times a day. I'd say I reached that goal about 60% of the year. Have to figure out how to do it during Hope Bus season when I'm aboard the RV for long hours.

Except for my gym closing early due to the holidays, I've been able to keep on track. I've especially proud of my Body Pump accomplishments!

My long-term fitness goals got derailed this year - extended use of aromatase inhibitors (to keep tumors from recurring) led to bone spurs, sciatica, and back and hip pain whenever I put weight on my right leg. A year of steroids and pain meds led to a 25 pound regain of weight already lost (pretty discouraging). Finally a course of acupuncture treatments are now keeping sciatic pain at bay and I'm ready to get back on track and reclaim my life.

How was your fitness plan this year, did you reach any goals, what were your major accomplishments? What did you learn? Whatever you did, be happy, you are emoticon emoticon
