I don't have any trick-or-treaters so I don't buy candy. If I did, I would buy Hershey miniatures so I could eat the leftovers. No-NO-NO. That's why I can't do Halloween.

One day at a time; one pound at a time.

Candy Corn . . . such a simple thing, but I simply can't resist it. And I will eat it until I feel sick. After all these years, I still can't tame that dragon!

Our children our adults, so we're not doing anything this year. We're not even giving out candy.

-this is our first year in our new home and the weather is supposed to be horrible here this evening. Wind and tonado advisory....lots of rain, so I doubt we will even have one trick or treater. We bought a small bag of mini-candy bars just in case. What is left over, I will give away.

I LOVE Halloween! The house is decorated inside and out with cobwebs, skeletons, bats, banshees, and ghosts. It's one holiday where you can let your imagination have free reign, and I have as much fun now as when I was a kid. I will be giving out traditional treats - snack size candy bars, but also have a smaller bowl for neighborhood kids I know containing mini bubbles in holloween-themed bottles, bouncy eyeballs and skull earrings (I stock up on the non-food goodies at post-holiday sales and store them with my decorations for next season). I may have one or two treats, but enter them on the food tracker and hold myself accountable today just like every other day. I put my pregnant niece (who usually dons glam costumes) in brown tights, an orange sweatshirt with black construction paper cutouts, and a green beanie and she'll be The Great Pumpkin. Her husband is wearing shorts, an orange t-shirt with black zig-zags and of course is Charlie Brown - his perennial Halloween vigil is finally a success!

Happy Halloween! emoticon Will you be giving out candy, if so what kind? Does Halloween post any risks to you, will it sabotage your healthy eating plan for the day? Will you have a calorie conscious treat, if so what and how many calories? Bonus, anyone dressing up or have a cute family member costume to share, have a great day! emoticon emoticon emoticon
