I hate to admit it, but I'm terrible when it comes to reading. I enjoy it, but I don't do it often.

I read every day. I am fortunate enough to live in a city with a very good library siystem. I both visit the library for "real" books and download e-books from the library to read. I am currently reading a collection of four mysteries by Joanne Fluke downloaded in one edition. The only thing wrong with reading her books is that she includes some excellent recipes along with the mystery story as her main character owns a cookie store. Reading them makes me want to eat them although I have successfully resisted so far.

My brother told me that he first knew I was so critically ill when he came to the hospital to visit and offered to bring me something to read and I said no. In his entire life, he had never known me to not want to read anything put in front of me.

I considered reading as much a part of my rehab when I came home as the physical exercise because I could tell that the cancer, infections and treatments had affected my brain. My thinking was very fuzzy and confused and I had lost a good deal of my vocabulary. I made it a rule to read every day, do crosswords, sudoku and puzzles with a time element to push me to think faster. It is one commitment I have made in my life that I have kept.

One day at a time; one pound at a time.

I read every day, and pop into our local library about once a week. I'm President of the Friends group, and stop to check on our mail. look at new releases, etc. I do have a bunch of books downloaded to my laptop, but I enjoy tooooo much, sitting out in my swing on the porch and reading a good old fashioned paper book. Finished one book yesterday, and started another today, and I'm about half way thru it.

I read daily. I can't NOT read. I got a Kindle for Christmas and have been able to borrow books from the library online. I'm currently rereading Under the Dome by Stephen King.

I read a lot! And it's much easier & more convenient to do with my Kindle, or if I don't have it with me, Kindle for Android on my phone.

I am currently reading book 4 of the series Shenandoah Sisters, "Together Is All We Need"

I'm also reading "Jesus Calling" right now, and it has been a great book so far. I recommend it if you want to spend some quality time getting in touch with Jesus & His presence.

I don't go to the library at all anymore, and back when I did because I wanted to read but didn't have a lot of spare money to spend on books, I was a terrible library patron - 9 times out of 10 I had to pay late fees because I could never manage to get the books back in a timely manner!

With the internet and e-reading devices, it seems to me like libraries are going to have a hard time staying open. It's just so much more convenient to look things up online, and to read e-books.

I read every day. I'm not a member of a book club, but I have been in the past. I don't visit the library often -- it's on the other side of town & traffic out that way isn't all that great.

I read from my Kindle. Most of the books on there I've downloaded for free from Amazon.

I am currently reading the 2nd book in the Hunger Games Trilogy. I wanted to wait to read it once the 2nd movie was closer to being released.

Keep smiling!!

My local library is just under a mile away. I walk or ride my bike there at least twice/week for books and/or DVDs to watch while riding my stationary bike in the evening. Faves are complete seasons of TV shows (Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, The Big C, etc) that will be reserved and keep me riding 2-3 weeks each. Since getting my Kindle, I check out fewer paper books, but get in at least an hour of reading every day before turning in at night.

I try to read each day. I'd love to participate in a reading group. I do not go to my local library (which is at the top of my street) though I did get a card to take out books on CD for when I'm traveling since I don't like the music on local radio, and people who call talk shows distract me with their sometimes inane comments. :) My work schedule is so all-consuming that I don't have a lot of free time to commit to other things, sometimes that includes John.

I am current reading MRS. KENNEDY & ME by Clint Hill, her Secret Service Agent.

How often do you read? Have you or are you involved in a summer reading group or book club anytime of the year? How often to you go to your local library and utilize their materials and technology? When and what was the last book you read?
