I gave up soda a couple of years ago. I rarely drink it now. Like many of you, I have my 1 cup of coffee in the morning and then it's water the rest of the day. I will have almond milk with my protein smoothies. When I go out, it's always unsweetened ice tea unless they don't have it. Then it's water. About the only time I drink milk is with a big dinner like Thanksgiving otherwise I'm not a milk drinker.

I've heard all the negative things about diet soda but I made a decision about it.

I have given up just about every thing I used to eat-- potatoes, rice, white bread, pasta, whole milk, sweets, whole cheese, fried foods, processed foods, butter -- the list goes on and on so long that I can't even think of everything, and I am going to drink diet soda. It beats the heck out of the calories in an eight pack of 16 oz. regular drinks I used to drink. Or more! I do drink the eight glasses of water or more every day.

Heard an interesting fact on "The Doctors" the other day. Said research shows that people who drink diet soda are more prone to depression. Interesting....

Diet Coke has been my drink of choice for more than 30 years but I have cut back over the last few years. In addition to the eight glasses of water, I drink Crystal Light, juice, milk and, occasionally, iced (summer) or hot tea (winter), coffee or hot chocolate, usually in the winter. I am constantly drinking something.

I drink a cup or two of coffee in the morning (not every morning anymore) but the rest of the day I drink ice water. Sometimes I'll put a little lemon juice in it for a little flavor. When we eat out I drink unsweet iced tea. Very rarely do I drink anything else anymore. Every once in a while I'll drink a cup of 2% milk, but not often. I don't like to waste my calories & fat allowances on liquid!

Water and unsweetened iced tea are my "go-to" drinks. I did have part of a bottle of soda tonight when we were at a carnival because I couldn't get either water or tea, but most of the bottle is in the fridge. Usual consumption of water and tea equals at least 10 glasses a day. I have one or the other at my fingertips all the time, even when I go to bed at night.

I drink 1 cup of coffee in the morning on the days I leave for work. Once I get to work, I drink hot tea & water the rest of the day. We go out to eat once or twice a month & on one of those occasions, I may order a Diet Pepsi. It's more of a treat for me because I used to drink 1 or 2 every day.

Keep smiling!!

I drink coffee and water around the house, occasionally milk. When we go out I will order an unsweet tea or an adult beverage, depending on the occasion.

Iced water, iced water, iced water and iced water, lol. Even before chemo I was always well hydrated. And during was even more important. Now, 5 1/2 years later, it is still my beverage of choice, though I do have milk if we're eating dinner at home. And there's my morning cup of coffee, but all in all it's water, the colder, the better.

Matter of fact at my daughter's volleyball practice the other day, one of the moms was concerned because I did not have my customary water bottle in my hand.....but it was in my bag, I just hadn't gotten it out yet!

#1 beverage is good ole H2O. Mornings are started with coffee (only time I drink it during the day), Go-to daily beverages are iced green tea (with a sprig of fresh mint) or crystal light pink lemonade. I usually have one glass of red or white wine with dinner. I have trouble making daily recomended potassium, so often will include a glass of low-sodium V-8 or diet tonic water (my only carbonated beverage). Usual daily liquid intake is 8-10 glasses.

What are your favorite beverages? what do you drink most around the house? how about when eating out, what do you usually drink? If you were on a road trip and had to get a gas station beverage, what would you choose?
