Inga, I agree on what Chicago has to offer. Love that city and came close to moving there in the '90s but it didn't work out. Love the Art Institute. Though on my last trip I really missed Marshall Field's.

Been there.... Went to a flower show on the Navy Pier, was supposed to go up the Willis tower, but it was so windy I chickened out, watched them dye the river green, enjoyed the mimes, went to a Speakeasy and had a ball, did a bunch of other stuff too.

very interesting.

I have traveled a lot, but I believe my hometown of Chicago is the largest, it is quite amazing, come visit sometime! wonderful lakefront, Buckingham fountain, millennium park, many museums, navy pier, zoo, theatre, viewing deck in Willis tower.

I have lived in Miami and Atlanta, driven through New York City. The longest trip was a road trip around the eastern US, with stops in DC, Niagara Falls, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Boston and many stops along the way. I have been to Texas also. We went into Canada while we were at Niagara and I have been to the Bahamas.

The largest city I've been in was New York City. I've been to Philadelphia, Boston and Baltimore on the east coast, traveled to Cape Coral, Fla, Dallas, TX, Phoenix, AZ, and Las Vegas going west or south. Toronto, Canada is the furthest north I've been, city wise. We did go north of Toronto to North Bay, fishing...

I have been to several large towns. I think the farthest I have traveled
is to Arizona to the Grand Canyon. We were on a two week vacation
driving from town to town. I don't know if we visited towns farther away
or not. I always went to Philadelphia and New York.

What is the biggest city you have ever been in? What is the farthest you ever traveled away from home? What did you think of your experience?

The farthest I've traveled is Italy. It is my dad's homeland and all of the cities I've visited are beautiful. The one that is held closest in my heart is visiting his little village, Collicello, Cagnano Amiterno in the Abruzzo region. His family home was in the foothills of the Gran Sasso Mountains, with no more than 20 homes in the village. The most sacred of places I visited was the house in which he grew up, made by my great-grandfather's hands. It is of stucco and my GGF's palm prints are in the stucco. Electric moment when I placed my hand in his handprint. Still get shivers.

In the US, I'm not sure if NYC or LA would be the largest city I've visited. I love traveling, though my work schedule & short vacation time makes it more difficult. Chilling moment was at Lincoln's Tomb in Illinois.

Still on my list? England, Canada, Ireland

We've (hubby & I) been to lots of cities -- not sure which is the biggest: Chicago, Houston, San Antonio, San Francisco, Reno & probably a few I'm forgetting.

Hmm. The farthest: San Juan, Puerto Rico; The Bahamas; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; Aruba; Curacao; Dominica. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

We love to travel & I love all the places we've been. They are beautiful in their own unique way.

The farthest hubby has been is to Istanbul, Turkey -- right before we got married he was there for work for 3 weeks.

Keep smiling!!

Probably Los Angeles or San Diego. I lived in the latter in 2003-2004. I've driven from CA to WV or VA several times. Once it was just me and my eight yr old brother in the 70's. An adventure!!

I don't know sizes of cities very well but I'm going to guess that New York is probably the largest city I've visited.

My parents were missionaries when I was a child, and so I grew up in Swaziland, South Africa. That would be the furthest that I've traveled.

Also lived on the island of Crete, Greece - that was my husband's first assignment after we got married back in 1983. We lived there for 2 years. That would be the farthest I've traveled in the northern hemisphere.

Largest city ever visited is Tokyo. Although once you get beyond several million people most cities seem alike, Tokyo presents a totally urban face - no Central Park to soften the concrete, metal and asphalt. Farthest I've ever traveled is a 12 hour time zone differential (Thailand and Burma) but still in the northern hemisphere. I enjoy travel and hope to get south to Peru and Australia as well as exploring Africa past the northern coast.

I went to London as a child, and that's probably the furthest I've traveled. A couple of years ago I took an overnight business trip to New York.
