I was a G.S. leader for both of my girls and they both earned the Gold Award. (Both my sons are Eagle Scouts and my youngest just earned his last week!) Didn't buy any cookies this year as am on a low carb diet. Have had my share of G.S. cookies and Boy Scout popcorn over the years! My favorite was always Thin Mints!

I bought alot, from 2 different girls. My fave are the tagalongs (peanut butter/choc. patties) 2 cookies is enough. I was in scouting as a child, my daughter was and I was a leader for 5 years.

I was a girl scout and sold my share of cookies. I don't buy them but my DH does. Every year he buys me a box of Thin Mints and every year I tell him I don't care for them. I also tell him not to buy them for me, but there they are. I think he feels guilty buying his few boxes that he keeps in his desk drawer at work so he buys me a box. My favorite is the Samoas. Just bought a container of Breyers Girl Scout Samoa ice cream. Really good and I only eat a couple of spoonful at a time. Much fewer calories that way.

I usually buy a couple of boxes and give them away. I don't care for them personally and I don't waste my calorie budget on them..

I usually order a couple of boxes each year, if I happen to run into a Girl
Scout. I like all the flavors. I can't remember the names until I see the
box or a book

Neither I nor my daughter were Girl Scouts, but that didn't stop us from eating Girl Scout cookies!

My all-time favorite are samoas, just last year discovered that Keebler makes a really good samoa too (Coconut Dreams) . . . okay, on to something else before I hop in the car and go buy some!!

My husband & daughter like the thin mints the best.

Really disgusted with the news stories we've heard in the past few weeks of people either embezzling funds or pranking girl scouts . . . how sad.

Oh My, Girl Scouts. Where to start. Back in the late 50's, I was a Brownie and sold cookies door to door. I was a girl scout and loved it. When I was in college, I was a girl scout leader for my younger brothers elementary school because they couldn't find a leader for a young group of brownies. It was a great joy. But then I was lucky enough to have a wonderful daughter. I was her leader for 12 years. She started as a Brownie and (much to her dismay at the time), I kept her in till she was a senior in high school. I was in charge of Girl Scout Cookies sale for 5 years in one of the largest areas in CA. We sold millions of girl scout cookies, actually.
So I've eaten my share, sold my share and supported the cause for a long time.
But I haven't had ONE cookie in the last 2 years.

Little bit of trivia for your next night out: Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies are the second largest selling cookie only one other cookie sales more. Oreo.

I love Girl Scout Cookies. I have avoided the purchase for 2 years now. Even putting them in the freezer does not keep them out of my hands and mouth. Thin mints are my favorite. If it was up to me, I would eat the box as my portion. But the portion is 4 cookies. I can deal with that except on a bad day. I will buy them if someone asks but no one has asked. I will send them to my daughter and have my DH take the rest to work.

I was a Girl Scout for 2 years when I was younger. My older daughter was a Brownie for a year but had a bad experience-Her leader was going through a divorce. My younger daughter started as a Daisy and went through her senior year of high school. I was her leader from 7th grade until she graduated. It was a good time. It is a great program.

I was a third generation Girl Scout (Mom was one of the troop leaders), sold and ate cookies. I haven't bought or eaten them since trying to get back on a heathly living/eating regimen. I ate them if they were around, but I never had a great affinity for any particular cookie, so it wasn't that hard to say no.

I was a Brownie and a Girl Scout, sold the cookies too and still get them, I get the Do-Si-Do's for me and Thin Mint for my kids but only get a couple of them as the ones I like I could eat the whole box at 1 time, not good to have in the house.

I was never a Girl Scout, but my daughter was a brownie, briefly.

We did buy them, my favorite are the Samoas. Only 2 and hide the box or I'll finish them all!

I was a Girl Scout, and we did buy cookies this year. Funny enough, I'm not that big a fan of the Thin Mints. I think they're okay, but I prefer the peanut butter ones.

Do you buy girl scout cookies? How about eating them, do you? How many would be an acceptable portion? What is your favorite variety?
Bonus: Were you or your daughter a girl scout? (if you have one) Any former leaders?
