Prayers and positive energy to you, to all who have asked for help and prayers in SP, and those who have chosen to fight their battles in silence.

We are an awesome support family, and we know that we are loved and cared for here.

Make everywhere you go a little bit better than when you arrived...

Thank you. I had a complete hysterectomy in Jan. of 1997, so I know there's not much left there. Just wish they'd get the appointment made so I know what's going on.... Thanks for the prayers. I really appreciate it.

Joy, I am so emoticon to hear that you may have cervical cancer
back again. I will remember you in my emoticon . He is the only
real hope we have.

I think it is great that you found some clothing to fit you at the thrift stores.
I have bought them before as well, some that look like new and fit really
well.

I remember Mom when she was in her late 80's and we found that she
had cervical cancer. She went to Kentucky UK Hosp. and they did a
complete hysterectomy. She did well, and healed much faster than I
expected. We should always have hope and try not to expect the
worse. That is my wish for you. I hope that you try to eat healthy.

"I lift up my eyes to the hills-where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of Heaven and Earth."

Thanks Inga...

Guess I reward myself with some new, smaller clothes when I hit a goal....like pants I don't have to keep pulling up every third step... They may be from a thrift or consignment store, but they are "new" to me, and closer to fitting.

Can I ask for some prayers? After having cervical cancer in 1996, the Dr. thinks it's back. Have to go to Cleveland Clinic as soon as they can set up an appointment. After doing this once, and then the bout with breast cancer, I'll admit I am scared...more so than the first time... So if some of you will just think of me once in a while, I'd appreciate it......

Since I am losing again, I 'reward' myself with new clothes - because I have to. But strangely, a reward is really getting into some of my favorite 'old' clothes that I was unable to wear for years.

I 'reward' myself with getting my nails and hair done whether I am losing or not - because I want to look as good as I can regardless of what I weigh. I have en vogue nails - a gel that reacts to ultraviolet light and doesn't come off with remover or doing the dishes. After chemo, my nails were very thin and weak and tore easily. Now they are strong and beautiful. (and just a little sparkly! emoticon

But mostly I feel that my reward is being able to go for a walk with the dogs, grandkids, and hubs at a good speed, and feel invigorated rather than out of breath.

Non-food rewards are sooooooo fun! For smaller rewards I buy books for my Kindle. For the bigger goals, I go get my hair done or I go get a massage. When I hit the 15 pound mark, hubby took me out of town for a long weekend.

Keep smiling!!
