Brenda, happy Last Day of Work for Mike! emoticon

I just heard the temp today will be 40, and then "dangerously low" this weekend and chances of spotty freezing drizzle. SS, enjoy your temps!

I took a quick "circle" to visit an aunt, DB, youngest DS, and my mom yesterday. I delivered some gifts from my FL sister. I got to visit and do a good deed at the same time. Win/win.

Have a good day! Hello to all!

Like TC said about where she's at it's bitterly cold here also. To be honest I've not gone out anymore than I have to. I did go ant get a haircut today. My hair dresser was in AZ for a week visiting her son over her birthday and said she really didn't want to come beck, I don't blame her. Jenny went back home today, she had been watching the forecast and decided this was the best of the bad days for traveling. We hate to see her on the road but know she is a very good careful driver, you just have to always worry about the other guy. She had her 2 "girls" with her so she really doesn't want to get stranded.

I read the posts and it sounds like most had a good Christmas. Ours was pretty quiet, the kids were all here for Xmas eve and for Christmas day it was just 3 of us. As far as we know Brian still hasn't any thing concrete as far as a job goes.

Well I think I'll head to bed early tonight, I was awake at 3:45 am and couldn't get back to sleep.

Hi all, Read posts but tired and going to bed. Terribly cold here and snowing now so looks like boot weather tomorrow for work. I did not even have any energy to go through my new cookbooks mom got me for Xmas. Maybe Saturday. This whole week will be messed up work 1 day off 1 day pretty much all week. Laundry and cooking Saturday and of course I always have to get my exercise in. Later friends, TC

Hi everyone. Fairly warm here and the grands are still out of school. We're going to watch a movie soon and I'll try too do a bit of crocheting. Maybe not.

Have a great day.

Good morning all.

Sharon, I agree I’m ready for this cold crap to go away. I miss my sunshine and warm temps.
I’m feeling much better thank you. I really think it was just something I ate.

Brenda, are y’all going to become snowbirds with hubby retiring? You could come down to the beach and play in the sand with me emoticon
I know you’re looking forward to it

Well I seem to be settling in to a routine of sorts now so maybe I’ll start being more active here again. I’m actually sleeping a little later too. Now to get going to the gym into my routine and I’ll be more set.

Have a great day all and stay warm

Good Morning!
It's still cold and crappy here in Texas. However, compared to the rest of the country in the deep freeze, I dare not complain that our high today is only 48!

We had fun at our Card Elimination game last night. I won one pot of $8 but missed out on the larger pots but that's OK. At least I won!

PJ - I'm glad a few winter Texans are showing up. We have a few new Snowbirds showing up by the 1st. A lot of people wait to come after Christmas. I'm about ready for this cold snap to move out of here and bring us back to warmer temps. We are reminded that this is winter here as well and Dec & Jan will remain quite cold. Yuck! It may change our mind about returning next year. We will wait and see.

Brenda - I'm betting Mike is just biding his time waiting for this week to end. Do you have any plans for his first week home and retired? Let's hope Jenny gets her Christmas gift today. I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

WG - I need to join your GD in your sewing class. Perhaps I could learn to sew!

Heather - I'm glad you found our new threads. You can go in and set it so that you get notified when there is a new thread. On the top, click on COMMUNITY and then on SPARK TEAMS. Once on the Sparks Team page, all your teams are listed at the top. In the upper right click on MANAGE MY TEAMS EMAIL/SETTINGS. Then you can click on NEW TOPIC NOTIFICATION. While you are there you may find lots of new options.

Jacque - Nala is feeling better today and I hope you are as well.

Brrrrrrrr it’s cold even here. Yes I know not in comparison to the northern states but to us it’s cold.

Got home from work lady night and ended up sick. I think it was what I ate for dinner though. Once I threw up, in the middle of the night no less, I began to feel better. Only problem now is I’m almost afraid to eat. I’m thinking I might make some soup too, Tammy.

Hi everyone. Been a few days since I was online. It sounds like a variety of things happened to everyone but I'm not going to respond right now. I've got Princess Purple who is waiting for a "special Grandma Sewing Class."

Hope you all are recovered from the Christmas celebrations and are enjoying the quiet before the New Year.

I'm off to be Grandma.

Good afternoon everyone

Brr & Brr & more brr it was -8 temp when we got up this morning glad Jenny & I went and got errands done yesterday it was cold when we went a big 10 degrees I just bundled up good!
WE had a good Christmas dinner at my brother only 15 of us I ask Mike if he realized every time we have a gathering everyone show up all 21 or 22 of us LOL I guess the more the merrier .

Jenny was a bit disappointed her boyfriends gift he bought her (don't know when he ordered it) didn't show up and won't get it till tomorrow so she was in a sad mood we talked and I told her it is a guy thing ,and she needs to talk to him how she feels she said she hate to sort of tell people what to do I just told her you sometimes have to for a guy to "get it" . And the situation with his mom is difficult one for both of them to deal with . didn't make plans with them till 2 days before and wanted it "her way" but thats one thing they do both agree with is the situation with his mom is a hard one . any way life goes on and all the lesson with it .

My niece had a real good Christmas the one with the dog passing Colleen &BIL got her a new puppy the same kind she cried and cried happy tears and couldn't believe it had a video on FB it brought tears to everyone's eyes .

I had to chuckle my brothers wife put her foot down years ago NO dogs well their daughter has 2 dogs she is in college well when she comes home for Xmas the dogs did too so that was 2 dogs in brother house well then here come the other niece with her puppy so that was 3 dogs in brother house we all could tell Jacie wasn't to fond of the idea but what could she do LOL she was a good sport about it .

Thanks Tammy yes 2 more days and after yesterdays stuff going on with this new employee he just SHH she does it her way and gets upset she has to redo and words fly out of her month that shouldn't.. oh well won't be his problem after Friday .

ok I really don't know much else just dropping in to say hello and hope everyone is doing well. have a great day .

Trying to eat healthy exercise daily, slow down my pace in life think positive and all in all get in Better Shape and Keep Heart healthy and enjoy the life God has given me.

A cold rainy cloudy day here and more to come. But not complaining as I know how horribly cold it is back home.

Boiled the chicken carcass and now have a pot of chicken veggie soup simmering for our dinner.

Two more winter Texan couples have arrived and hopefully later today the laundry and rec hall will be open as I am in desparate need of doing laundry tomorrow. Not sure about any activities yet May not be any if they don't get any volunteers found and approved to work. It's a government park remember so lots of hoops to go through for approvals.

I have started reading a book I brought with me. Not a very good one but will finish it anyway . Not one my MIL would enjoy so will donate it.

Sharon thanks for starting another new year challenge. Maybe it will keep me motivated. I have lost a couple of pounds in the last week since being here. So that is a good start for me.

I go by the name of PJ and live north of KC, MO. Winter in East Texas.

Onward and Downward

Its always too soon to quit.

It may take me longer to get to my goal than my original plan but I will get there.

Good Morning!
Nala is feeling under the weather today. Must be she picked up on how I've been feeling. I hope she perks up as the day progresses.

I got the MH cleaned and bills paid but I have yet to do laundry. It has to be soon as we are running out of clothes to wear! Perhaps I can do some while Norm has his woodcarving class this afternoon.

Ruthann - good luck with the refinancing. I'm glad you made it to Yuma and things are moving along. Have fun in Algondones! I would love to spend a day there again. Heck, I really would love to spend a day at the Mesa Market again! All that may pull me back to AZ again some day.

Tammy - I added you to my spreadsheet so you are officially in the challenge. Good Luck and I'll send final details later this week.

TC - work hard, lol - like you don't always!

Jacque - I enjoyed following your trip to Tulsa on FB! Thanks for checking back in with us here. I have you on the challenge spreadsheet so it will be a nice way to reconnect as we are shedding a few pounds.

Marianne - sounds like you have a nice RV trip planned. When you go to Quartzsite, will you be staying in a park or out in the dessert?

Good morning. I m getting really great internet from my neighbor. So I am able to get on and go online. Which is great because a lot of what I need is online.

Yesterday I got up early and went to the bank and asked them if they could get a better rate on the money that I owe for the rest of the car. So you have to put in an application to apply. So before I got across town they text me and I got approved. No time to pursue it I went to the dealership and sat down with about 5 different guys and discussed how I really didn't need the $2000 security thing that you can trace someone if they stole my car. Gee isn't that what I have insurance for? So they made me up a new deal and they found a lower interest. They fund 3.5% B of America is offering on line 3.02. We will see Saturday when I get back what they say. I just hope that I win. it is the principal of the whole thing now.

From there I went to pick up my car.12 noon and it wasn't ready. They had 6 guys washing it and waiting for the owner to put the decorative pinstripe on. Needless to say, I left San Dimas at 2 pm and got to Yuma 9 pm. Traffic was the worst I have ever seen. Stop and stop was all that I was doing. There was no go for miles. It finally started to move after 4:30 pm.
I really don't ever want to do that again.

Lots to do in two days turning things over into her name. I will pick her up at the airport at 8 pm tonight. Then we will talk until we drop.

I will be going to Mexico as soon as they open. I need new lenses and clean my teeth. That is what they do best!

Going to go have coffee. Looking forward toward a shopping day for myself. Later

Happy Day After Boxing Day...lol

SS, I set up a template for the challenge, so I guess I AM going to participate. LOL Thanks for all you do.

I spent the day making some soups yesterday and want to make one more today. I am taking samples to my mom. All but one freezes well; I thought it would be a good way to vary her diet somewhat. She is alone a lot, some of it by choice, and I think maybe she would eat better with some variety, so I am helping with the variety a bit. I am thinking we might take them to her tomorrow. My DS sent a bit of stuff for mom back from FL with us and we want to get that over.

It is quite cold this morning.

Brenda, Mike just has a couple of days left, I am thinking. Yay!

Happy Boxing Day.
I’m not even going to try and catch up on the posts as I know it’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve been on here.
I had a wonderful trip to Tulsa for Christmas. Had some unexpected snow while there. It was beautiful and disappeared quickly so I survived it lol
The kids were ecstatic about their gifts. I did good this year.
I’m beat today after driving back and now at work. I only stopped to nap a couple of times instead of stopping somewhere for the night. I got in about 9 this morning, went in and took a short nap. My phone started going off with everyone making sure I got home lol.
I hope everyone else had a good day too.
I’ll try and be better about posting

Merry after Christmas, all. emoticon

Too much good food the last few days - returning to my usual eating pattern and hoping I havent done too much damage to my weight.

Ruthann, hope your car is repaired and ready to take to Yuma. I know youll be happier when you have that errand finished.

Tammy, Im with you on horrible traffic. We moved to a milder climate, from the mountains, five years ago, but the traffic is insane! And they just keep building more housing near us.

Brenda, this must be Mikes last week of work before retirement. emoticon

Deborah, my grandkids in Seattle were thrilled with a white Christmas, even if it was just a little snow. Glad you and DH had fun with friends.

Were about 10 days away from taking the RV to an area near Palm Springs, then on to Quartzite in AZ, and finishing up at an RV resort in Hemit in southern CA for a rally. Well only be gone about a month but we have a few shorter trips planned for March and April.

I thought I had posted here earlier today, but I guess I didn't.

I've gone in to town to pick up a couple of deliver-to-store orders to avoid shipping. emoticon It always works when I can be in town regardless.

We are going to have some coooooolllllldddddd weather shortly. I am never a fan. FL DS always tries to get us to move down there to Pensacola, but I could never stand their traffic.

Good Morning!

We had a lot of fun at our clubhouse yesterday. We have found that they really enjoy their liqueur here at this park. Their punches and such are always very spiked so perhaps that adds to the fun. Not for me, as I'm not a drinker so it's way too strong for me to enjoy.

Now today the fun is over and I have to pay bills, organize our challenge and figure out how to get some laundry done!

Ruthann - sounds like your cousin expects a lot out of you so I hope you're up to the challenge if she does indeed move once again! I hope your car is ready so you can hit the road to Yuma. Terry was very generous with the cash for Christmas so I hope you have fun shopping in Yuma.

TC - so happy you could have the day off and enjoy family over Christmas. Now it's back to work. I hope your workload isn't too difficult.

Heather - looks nice a very nice Christmas Dinner. I usually don't do too bad with the meal, it's the desserts and goodies that get to me!

Deborah - your prime rib sounds good. We grilled rib eye steaks and a salad Christmas Eve which we really enjoyed. I love how you got snow for Christmas! Although my family in MI is not impressed. They got 7" Christmas Eve and they expect 7-9 more inches on Christmas Day. It is very cold and blowing! Some years we leave the day after Christmas for our winter away. It would be very difficult this year so I'm glad we're here already!

Both Norm and I are enjoying our new air purifier we got as our Christmas gift. It really makes a difference and we both find we are sleeping better. I don't know what I had but I am feeling a little better every day. Today I almost feel back to normal.

Good early morning everyone
I had cousin Nancy over for dinner and she was quick to say that she is looking for another place to live and that she doesn't like this one. I almost dropped my cookies. I can't believe that she is serious. We still need to unpack from this horror movie.
She is looking for a mobile home. If it wasn't for all the lifting that I have done I guess I wouldn't have found all the problems I have with my liver. So maybe I should be grateful time will know.

I can't worry about anything right now but to get to Yuma. That will be a challenge for sure.
I just hope I get there before dark. I will be waiting for my car STILL to get out of the auto body shop.
I am going to go finish packing. Christmas was Grand. I used the Air fryer and I think I am going to really like it. I made fried potatoes and you could actually taste the potato and not a bunch of salt. Terry gave me $500 and I m going shopping in Yuma before coming home.
I will be happy when I get back to CA to try and get my life back together. I need a break.
OK talk to you gals later
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Merry Christmas ladies-DH and I had a wonderful time and meal last night with co-workers. The prime rib was amazing! All the food was so delicious. It was one of the nicest evenings we've had for some time. A BIG surprise; it began to gently snow about a hour before we left. Only about an inch accumulation by the time it was all done, but it was very pretty coming down and didn't cause any problems driving home. Very lovely to have a bit of snow on Christmas Eve :)
DH and I didn't exchange gifts because we are buying a new TV soon.
It sounds like you've all had a good holiday season and it's been fun to read what you do during this time of year.
DH woke up congested and is now coughing so I'm off to pour some medicine down his throat! Ha! Oh, how I LOVE when a grown man gets sick...or NOT!!
Merry Christmas everyone emoticon emoticon emoticon

Merry Christmas team !! Good day here and I actually got off work 4 hrs early yesterday. Score !! It was awesome ! I have ham in crock, cole slaw, veggie tray, meat and cheese cracker tray, mom is bringing deviled eggs and potato salad which I will not eat and brother Mike made black bottom cupcakes and fudge which I will not eat. Having a glass of wine before every one arrives, probably 18 total.
Ruthann, I do hope your liver is good and praying for no cancer !! Good job on the car. the older I get, the more stubborn I get and if the salesmen do not work with me, I am out of there. there is always another sales man...Lol !!
Tammy so glad your trip went well and no mishaps !!

Wishing you all a blessed New year ! Love you all. TC

May Santa bring you all you wished for. Norm and I do not exchange gifts but we went out and bought a new Ionic Air Purifier and said Merry Christmas to each other! We always had one in the MH but it croaked and we didn't replace it. Now we have and we wake up feeling so much better in the morning!

PJ - Polish roses are always a big hit and last night was no exception. No matter how many Norm makes, they always get wiped out. I understand about missing family over Christmas. BUT, it's so much easier to leave the end of Oct. MI is deep in snow and it would be tricky to leave this year so I'm glad we are here.

Ruthann - your Christmas dinner sounds delicious and it is so nice of you to have your cousin come for dinner. She will enjoy seeing your new car! You were really spoiled this year by Terry. Enjoy! Be safe on your trip to Yuma and I pray all goes well with the car and your travels.

Brenda - it's nice you made a trip to the cemetery. That won't be happening for me. Enjoy your family celebrations!

Tammy - I love the pic of you and Joe you posted on FB! I am also glad you had a fun and safe trip. (the sister pic was nice as well). Now relax and celebrate with more family today.

Heather - Merry Christmas to you in your Slimming World!

Almost time to make phone calls to the kids. Gotta go!

Merry Christmas

We are having a rotesserie chicken for dinner, fresh roasted butternut squash (from our garden) and I am splurging and fixing and eat twiced baked potato (or part of one) and salad. No dessert as I dont have any thing to make one with. But Franks still has some pecan pie (which I made him before we left) in the freezer so he is covered.

We had 3 deer come by our campsite this morning (first time in this campground) we have seen them but not at the campsite.

I am still working on knitting the socks for my cousin might finish today then I brought some books to read also. I just pick up books at Dollar Tree or e books no specific authors but usually buy mysteries type books.

Sharon I'm going to look up polish roses to see what you are talking about.

Enjoy all the celebrating and parties and family time. I do miss my kids and parents this time of year more than normal.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Well here is the day we have been waiting for.
Last night we went to Terry's daughters home there were people
coming in at all different times. Some claiming that they have been to
2 or 3 parties before and had to go to 2 more after. CA is nothing but party land

Came home and opened our presents. Terry got me an air fryer. I haven't a clue how they work and are they as good as they sound? Does anyone have one?

Also $500. and slippers I really wanted and needed. Really great Christmas.

Now today I will be cooking a Pork Roast with the fixings for dinner. Inviting my cousin over and by the way, she is so excited about that. I am excited too! She needs to see her investment. (;-)

Before all this happens, We will be going back to Terry's daughters for breakfast at 10 am. They open presents there.
I need to pack for Yuma just haven't had time to pack. I am going shopping when I get there if I have time. I will be waiting for my car on Tuesday morning. That ought to be fun. They better have it ready for my the last voyage with it to Yuma. It will determine whether I am driving in the dark the whole way or not.

OK onwards and upwards. I will be glad to get back to try out my car. I only 79 miles on it. I wish I could take it to Yuma but that isn't happening.

OK, Maybe I will try to go back to bed. Sleeping hasn't been easy lately
Hooe your day with family is a GOOD one.

Hi, friends!

DH and I got back from Pensacola last night about 8:30. We had planned to stop overnight and leave in the early morning hours to finish up the trip, but changed our minds. It was a long day of travel, but a lot of it was fairly stressless - not much traffic, fairly straight rows, etc. The worst was in Arkansas after we came through West Memphis and then just a bit of Missouri - curvy, curvy roads, some of it at dusk. I am very proud to say I drove there and back. DH "manned" Mr. TomTom - we knew there were some things we wanted to avoid and so he would alter the GPS. We had some slick spots on roads in the area early this morning, so when I knew that, I was even more glad that we had come on. I almost have the "have to do" stuff done for tomorrow's trip to oldest SD. I AM tired, but slept very well last night and if I sleep well tonight, I should be good to go.

I have been checking in here, but just not posting. I just looked up Polish roses - I had no idea what they were when I had them in the past...but they ARE GOOD! I am glad Ruthann has her car. TC is working today but not tomorrow. PJ is in TX. Arlene is giving $$ as gifts - so is Tammy. emoticon Deborah is having prime rib, or maybe has already had it. [DH would really like that!] Eileen is busy with her church program, I think, and hasn't been posting as much.

Hmmmm....how did I do for feeling like my brain was still somewhere in Mississippi? LOL

Morning!

Everyone must be really busy as not many posts!

Ruthann - I'm very happy for you and your new car! It (hopefully) will be the last time you need to deal with the car salesman. They have a rotten reputation for a reason. I swear they see a woman coming and take advantage of them. You must really have been retaining water to lose so much so quickly. Now to figure out why. Take things a day at a time. Relax, enjoy Christmas with Terry before leaving for Yuma.

Tonight is our Christmas Eve Party here in our community. We all have to bring a finger food. Norm is making his Polish Roses so not much work for me.

My wish for all of you is to have a very Merry Christmas!

Good Morning Rvers:
Gee, Christmas Eve is here. Lots to do I need to go to church and bake for tonight's dinner and also prepare stuff for tomorrows dinner. Keeping busy is the thing to do to keep my mind off of myself and the New year to come.

I am focused on Leaving Tuesday and in hopes that my little Focus wagon with flying colors. It hasn't been running for 3 weeks. It looked sad when I went to get the stuff out of it. it's hard to part with an old friend. But after I picked up my new car everything seems to be better.

I bought their rental car back with no hassle. Took the key and then brought me back to the dealer to pick up my new car. Nothing else. Easy as pie.

Now buying the car was another story. It took forever. And the car was being brought from long beach, CA. which through LA traffic through the Christmas highway jam. I guess he never got it there until 7 pm. I picked it up the next day. I was exhausted. I TRULY HATE CAR SALESMEN. It's a long story and I don't want to think about it right now. But it is mine.

I guess I better get onto something else. I have lost 11.8 pounds since I have been taking this water pills I only have been taking them for 4 days?????. I am starting to have ankles again. My skin doesn't hurt anymore. It's a bitch to get old.

I hope everyone is ready for the big day. I am ....I think????? Hahaha Later HO HO HO

Darn! I lost my post this morning and don't feel much like rewriting it, nor do I have the time!

Ruthann - sorry about both the old and new cars. Why can't anything ever go right for you! I am very concerned about the spots on your liver. When do you go for the tests? I will be praying for you that all goes well with positive results. I know this must weigh heavy on your mind.

Heather - another good loss! Congrats! Keep working that diet.

TC - enjoy your Christmas celebration with Bruce today.

Marianne - I'm glad both you and Pete are feeling better for the Christmas Weekend.

PJ - sounds like you are settling in. We had to go to the grocery store as well because you can only get some things at the last minute for Christmas.

We had our normal Breakfast Buffet this morning but it was nice as they replaced all the countertops in the clubhouse with granite counters. It looks so nice. This afternoon the kids are decorating a trailer and today there is a hayride/caroling. I don't think we will be on the wagon but it will be fun to have them come by caroling.

Our DS called last night and we had a nice talk. He had a scare this week. In fact, they were worried he was having a stroke and his boss sent him to emergency. Turns out it wasn't a stroke but Bell's Palsy. The dr said most people return to normal but sometimes it stays with them. We are all praying he recovers completely, of course.

Good morning my Rv friends
What a day yesterday was. I went to Uhaul and there is NO way that I m towing another car without hurting either one of them. So I got an airplane flight one way back to Ontario CA.
So I went and got my hair done and got that off of my list. You have to do this right when they first open otherwise in CA you are better off not going out at Christmas around here.
Matter of fact I need to go get gas before they all wake up and I will have to wait an hour in line at Costco.
Then I went to the Body shop to pick up my car.and they hadn't even painted it. I took him aside and his father was standing in the yard and he came over and then I told them that I sold the car and I needed it Tuesday morning so I can pick up Carol at the airport plus I wanted an extra to shop around in Yuma. They gave me a present as I left. I cleaned out the car of all the junk that I had in there. They promised that they painted it yesterday and they will assemble it Tuesday morning and I will be sitting waiting to leave for Yuma as they screw it together. I am not a happy camper.
After that, I went over to talk to the guy and asked where the car was that I was supposed to buy. Come to find out this guy has been lying to me the whole time. ED, new car salesmen came and talked to me. I was ready to walk off the lot and he started to sell me the same car and I showed him the paperwork that I had and he started to show me a white one. I wasn't impressed. Well after sitting through the whole day trying to deal with these people I ended up buying the car that I wanted. Of course not the liers price. I took out a small loan to pay for the rest but at least I got what I wanted. I pick it up this morning because the insurance didn't start until today.
SOOOOOOOO I now have car keys up the ying yang Terry's, Rental, my old car and now the new car. I will take back the rental today. Get my new car and be merrily on my way for Christmas. My prayers for Christmas is that my old car is ready Tuesday.

I got a call from my doctor and they found two spots on my liver and I am going to get a
PET/CT W/CT SKULL TO MID THIGH. Then afterward I should follow up with an oncologist. which is a cancer doctor. I hope I have the right ologist. ?? So Happy New Year to me.
We will see what else they find. Let's hope that it is nothing. Another prayer for Christmas.
This pet scan I have to stay away from everyone because I will be full of radiation. That don't sound good to me.
I better get off of this thing and go get my car. Later

LIFE IS GOD'S GIFT TO YOU ... HOW YOU LIVE IT IS YOUR
GIFT TO GOD, YOURSELF AND LOVED ONES.

Yup, I have Xmas day off and am working the eve. Tomorrow we drive to Dewitt to see brother Bruce for his presents. Today I made pork chops and cauli mash for week meals. I wrapped a ton of presents. Cleaned my kitchen and dining room. Packed a box for goodwill. Tomorrow, we will clean the rest of the house, vacuum, etc. Later friends, TC

Heather, needed a good laugh, thanks. emoticon

Brenda, so glad they gave Mike a nice gift and a retirement party. Pete has had a CPAP for years and it did take time for him to get used to it. The only advantage of my hearing loss is I no longer hear the dang thing. emoticon

Deborah, your appetizers sound wonderful. Our family tradition is prime rib at Christmas - Im actually thankful we have a smaller gathering this year so I can buy a smaller roast.

Ruthann, great way to start the New Year, new car and sold your Yuma property. emoticon

Sharon, very sorry to hear youve been sick. I think there are several viruses making the rounds. Pete and I are now well enough to hopefully get through the holidays. Definitely envy your recent weather!

PJ, when we switched to a different RV I eventually wrote an inventory list for each of the big cabinets because we had the same problem - couldnt find stuff! emoticon

TC, reading between the lines, it sounds like you may have Christmas Day off. I hope so.

My niece and her family, including 4 young girls, are flying to Japan on Christmas Day. Her husband is Japanese and they will be visiting family for a couple of weeks. I made blankets for each of the girls but decided to wait and send them in February, and sent my niece a check instead.

Almost ready for family arriving tomorrow, then three days of cooking and eating, lol.

Heather I sure love that cartoon but sad to say how true that it is.

Brenda good to hear Mike got a retirement party. I have never been around a cpap to hear it but glad to know the second night was better for you both.

Ruthann glad you like your new doctor and hope he can get you some answers on your medical issues. Why are you swelling so much? What is causing the water retention? Also hope you get your car situation figured out. I didnt realize you had sold your place in Yuma it sold quickly that is great.

SS glad you contacted Eileen I had wondered about that.
Deboray a prime rib Christmas dinner sounds delicious. But so do your appetizers. At this time I think we are hiding things in our RV. Not really since this is a new trailer for us we neither can figure out where we have put things. LOL

Sharon one of these days I will try your boiled fruitcake but afraid I would eat too much of it.

We ventured out yesterday for the first time to pick up groceries and a few other things. I wanted to wait until Tuesday my frig was too empty to wait that long. When we start running out of my salad fixins and fruit for Frank it is time. Plus didn't not want to go any closer to Christmas either. Traffic was horrible but the stores weren't too bad.

Ruthann - we posted at the same time again! Good luck on transporting that car. I would think it would be too hard on a brand new car. I know you can only drive so fast and stuff with a new car. If you have a trailer hitch on the old car, perhaps you could drive that one and tow the new one. I think you'll figure it out!

Good Morning!
Yesterday I wasn't feeling well. I laid on the couch most of the day. As I told Norm, I still don't feel good but I feel better today! At least the nausea and diarrhea has let up.

Today I have to run out and get the stuff for polish roses which we are bringing to our Christmas Eve party. Also I need one more gift to wrap for our Christmas Exchange. It has to be gender neutral which adds a slight degree of difficulty for me. I bought a huge bag of pistachio nuts for one of my gifts. I have no idea what else I'll come up with.

TC - lucky you at the casino. A small win is better than losing. That is the one thing I really miss here in TX. For as large a state TX is, there is only one casino in the whole state and it's too far away for us to go. I will be more than ready to hit a casino when we return home.

Heather - loved the cartoon! I chuckled but only because it's so true!

Brenda - the flu is wicked this year. We have something going around our park but I don't think it's the flu or I wouldn't be feeling better today. I feel better that they did a Retirement Party for Mike. He deserves one. I am also glad he is adjusting to the cpap machine and you too. I never even thought about it bothering you (the noise).

Ruthann - I'm glad your cousin is helping you so much! You have also done a lot for her! It's a shame about the nieces in Canada not being more connected. Your new dr sounds like he's right on top of things. Hopefully, he will help you feel better. But poor Terry, I hope he feels better by Christmas Eve. I'm sure you have something planned! I can relate on the SS. Both Norm and I got a slight raise but it went to Medicare so our checks remain the same. About time for our new President to address and help us Senior cititzens!

Arlene - I didn't have to buy much this year, just the boots for Tucker and our exchange gifts for the Christmas Eve party. I am sure your DS and DD will appreciate the monetary gifts, especially this year for your DS. We are still praying something might come up by Christmas but time is running out. I only baked some cookies that you buy and bake. We just don't eat much of that stuff and with our challenge rapidly approaching, I need to clean the junk out of here not add to it.

I'm still in capris today but then it's turning cold and dropping into temps in the 50's for most of Christmas week. It still beats shoveling snow!

Take rental back
pick up my car
go buy a new car
get hair done
Selling my old car to the people who bought my home in Yuma
Now trying to figure out how to get both cars to Yuma at once. (I'm dreaming)
I am going to Uhaul today to see if they can help me figure it out.

I guess I better go. No time to dilly dally. Later

ONLY 2 DAYS LEFT......

Late evening team !
Sharon, love the bling shirts.
Brenda glad Mike is retiring but very sad to hear of DN dog passing. Such a shame.
Heather, so very proud of you sticking to your plan and losing that weight !
WG, the yarn project sounds interesting.
Marianne, hope your arm feels better soon. Be careful with it.
PJ, I have an ice maker but no RV yet...LOL ! Glad you are settled and enjoying the hikes.

Today I finished the shopping and had dinner with mom. Will be wrapping presents tomorrow. bought a half dead tree for the end table and hoping it stays alive til Monday. made 3 different kinds of cookies for the niece and nephews. Washed dishes, got my exercise in finally. Went to 2 casino's and won a tiny bit at both places. emoticon

Planning ham sandwiches, coleslaw, veggie tray and meat cheese tray for snacks on Monday. Mike will make his famous fudge and hopefully all will be happy. Off to bed. emoticon TC
