Heather, very cute haircut! You make dealing with snow look like fun, but some of us know the truth and are glad to avoid it.

Eileen, I hope people appreciate all of the banana split organizing you and Roger have to do!

Tammy, happy birthday to your mother! Once I started going to all of my mother’s medical appointments it was easier to figure out what was going on and to help her.

Pete and I are seeing DD this morning and I’m hoping she has a plan of action for tomorrow. She’s definitely going to get a second opinion - my concern is that she needs a different specialist and he is the only one her medical plan approves.

I’m also grateful to TC’s walking challenge yesterday. It was lovely here with a high of 78. Pete and I walked at least 5 miles in the surrounding rural area - very nice. Also a great way to de-stress.

My treat this week will be getting my hair done. I also suspect that the school will be calling me to sub now that they know I’m back from our trip. Stocking up on hand sanitizer and hoping the flu bug stays away.

Marianne, I hope you got a "downtime" day and were able to rest. Is your DD going to get a second opinion?


We went over to mom's yesterday even though I am going over Monday to take her for the second blood work. [I am appreciating the info here so much! Thank you!] I watched her do her meds to fill the organizer up and she did just fine. I also showed her how to use the air fryer that my FL sister had sent to her for her birthday. Today she turns 78.

She DID surprise me when she said that she had decided NOT to have the shock treatment after reading about it. ??? I know she is on arythmia meds and also blood thinners but have no idea what the cardiologist might say. Is that enough to help the unresolved aFib in the short term/long term? Any thoughts on this, friends? I will of course call the doctor's office very soon as it was scheduled for 2/14. Perhaps he will see her in his office on a consulting basis? I just chose to bide my time with her yesterday after that little surprise.


Sure enjoyed TC's Goal Day challenge yesterday - I had to get the last 2K after we got home. LOL


Hello to all!

Not sure where I was yesterday but not here. A busy one and did what I needed for points last night. It think it was after 1 AM before I shut down. Had a 4 hr. business meeting and then home to finish cleaning the floors and get snacks and dessert ready for company. Also did a grocery stop. Company didn't go until after 10 PM so I was quite behind.

Today was better. Had out monthly craft show at the hall and very few vendors were there. I guess from what they say, all the craft fairs are slow this winter. Then Roger came home and said we were to go to a 55th Anniversary and 55th Birthday party out by the campers. They had a propane campfire set up and lots of snacks. Enjoyed the company of about 50 people then off to get bananas for our first Sunday of banana splits social. Roger and several others headed to a BB game and just home after watching an OT loss. That's my past 2 days.

Heather nice hair cut. Wish my hair was thick again!

Arlene, I pay bills at the end of the month too. Doing all at once, you don't miss anything.

Sharon, we aren't going to any superbowl party as we have banana splits to get going and hope to have some people coming through. I am going through an advisor down here to get things rolling. He is also licensed in MN. so knows the laws for all. Hope to be able to work with our advisor up home too but it's MUCH cheaper down here. Mom has worked with this group many yrs and I have had a lot of contact with them through her.

Brenda, practicing tough love is really hard. Keep hanging in there. Glad Mike's CPAP is beginning to be more comfortable and working better. 66,000 people in the stadium tomorrow doesn't thrill me at all! Glad that Minneapolis is enjoying the public and glad we are down here!! I don't go for crowds like that. St. Paul is having an ice sculpture and palace this yr again so the cold is good for that.

Tammy, sometimes when the kidneys aren't filtering well enough, the residual can cause a fuzzy mind or confusion. Hoping when her blood work clears, she does as well. And depression after a heart attack is not uncommon either. Sometimes Vit D is ordered for heart patients as well as others with depression.

Marianne, hope your DD does make a change if things aren't going well. Glad you have a day to do some R&R.

Here I am settling down for the night and just checking in for the day. The rain missed us so it was another nice day. I kept busy and got my srep goal in for a FB challenge by TC.

I am on my phone so can't check back on your posts so I will catch up with you all tomorrow.

Tammy? Maybe I missed it before and you said it already...but how old is your Mom?

My Mom now gets flustered easily....especially on the phone ( she is 87 ) She often refers people calling about her housing/meds/doctors/bank etc....to my younger sister...telling my sister she had no idea what they were talking about~~

Sad...for a woman who brought up 7 kids...looked after all the finances....had an alcoholic husband ( although my Dad was never abusive to Mom or us kids in any way )
Now she just sees to not be able to cope....

Hello all, I thought I posted here recently, but can’t find it. Today is my day to do nothing I “have” to do.

Brenda, I like your idea of taking a drive.

Tammy, aside from the physical effects of her heart condition, meds can also have side effects, something to keep in mind. Both my mother and Pete have had to experiment with different medications and dosages while trying to stabilize heart conditions.

DD is in the middle of another health crisis, and after yesterday’s fiasco at the hospital, I’ve urged her to get a second opinion and hopefully, a different doctor. I did not sleep much last night - it’ll be good to have a low-key day. On the plus side, I did not go home and stuff my face with junk food, although I was tempted.

Tammy your moms feelings are not unusual. My mom did not have a heart attack but she did go through a heart by pass that couldn't be finished because her heart stopped. She came through that and had a stroke before she left the hospital. That was a tense time. She came out of that just fine but then lived with congestive heart failure disease. After many trips to the hospital for stays she finally hit the point when it was all too much for her to handle. So that is when I ended up taking over her meds, appts and other major issues. It became a way of life but I wouldn't have had it any different. She has been gone 7 1/2 yrs now

This mornings a bit better as far as my knee goes, we'll see how the rest of the day goes.

We have some new snow this morning, I wouldn't mind it except Jenny has to drive back to Jamestown tomorrow and they are talking about wind to blow the snow around and that's not a pleasant thought.

Well I've got to go check into the Template, i't's ok but not what I was hoping for, wish I could have weighed in yesterday, that was a whole lot better.

Tammy I have read that after a heart attack some folk get depressed and feel this way for a while. just the known and trying to grasp all that has happened I felt this way didn't realize what it was till I over heard a guy at a restaurant say his dr told him this depression after your heart attack some people get it & some don't so I read up on it and yep sure enough . there is article on it .

So a light bulb went off and then I knew I wasn't imaging things or feelings .The feeling finally did leave .
Just take one day at a time and take care of yourself too.


We have warm weather today I thinking we are going for a drive anywhere to get away for the day .

I had a call from the local kidney doctor's office that mom's bloodwork showed creatine [sp?] a little elevated so another blood test is to be taken on Monday. I will help Mom get to that one and can leave after I am done working on Monday.


She actually had the call first and referred them to me. She had also had a call about cardiac rehab. I guess I am taking on the Organizing for Mom task, and that's okay. Four phone calls later, and it was organized. Mom seems really disorganized and easily flustered. Perhaps because she feels bad still, perhaps just too much to keep track of, perhaps something else. There is also a longstanding history of always looking on the bad side of things and that does't help, but it is what it is and I will roll with it.

Sharon Mikes brother is staying with someone in a high rise but only till the 14th their rules.. He is trying to by a mobile home (SMH) in a gated community . but he wants to buy it on "his" terms and you know they aren't going to go for that !!
Mike is really seeing the side of him and his lifestyle and he doesn't approve but nothing he can do about it . I believe he loves all the hubb bub and drama .

Yes I am glad our rooms in the house is Full and Andy's & Jenny's too . We would take him in a heart beat if his lifestyle was a good and descent one .But it is not so as they say you (he )made his bed now hes got to lay in it .

We have a real cold day here in the teens again and snow next week , I just keep remembering almost 5years ago when dad passed we had 18 inches of snow and blistery cold & the tree came down in the back yard . Hope we don't see it this year .

the pot luck sounds good wish I liked Rice just can't get use to the taste .

Good Afternoon!
I just fed Norm and sent him off to woodcarving so now I'm free for the afternoon. I made BBQ's which made Norm happy.

Yesterday I baked a Strawberry cake (with pureed strawberries and jello in the batter) for our potluck and it didn't bake even so I made a second one. Then I frosted them with Cool Whip mixed with pureed strawberries. By the time I got them frosted they looked the same. I went to put one in our frig only to discover it wouldn't fit. So I brought both of them to the potluck and they both were eaten! Everyone said they were wonderful.

Today is overcast. Yesterday got to a high of 82. Then last night a cold front moved through and today we are at 67. Rain is expected tomorrow morning so we'll see. The weathermen are as accurate here as back home - NOT!

PJ - once in awhile you just have to skip some of the gatherings. Norm told me this morning that he's thinking of passing on the SuperBowl party here in the clubhouse. He said it's too noisy and he would rather enjoy it in the peace and quiet of our MH with a SuperBowl treat!

WG - I'm like you and could care less about the game but it will be nice for you to visit with family, have some treats and watch the half time show!

Eileen - our Financial Advisor called to let me know I am also at the age to start taking my annual annuities. I explained we were in TX. So I have to go to see him when I get home. He said if I don't take enough out in monthly amts that in Dec they will send me the rest. He said not to worry, have fun and enjoy the weather.

Heather - cute haircut. Mine is more shaved up the back which gets me an extra day out of my do as it doesn't get too messed from sleeping.

Brenda - Mike's brother is something else. Where is he living now? I'm glad Mike is staying strong about letting him in your home. It's good his cpap mask is doing better. He needs a good night's sleep when dealing with his brother! It's nice to hear you talking about going somewhere when the weather breaks. It will do you both good.

Arlene - some days I think my pain is related to the weather. Then today the weather is pretty crappy and I'm having a good day so it tests my theory. Norm is doing well. He complained yesterday of a pulled muscle from coughing but he's back to normal activities. I am still avoiding the bug but there is so much of it here in the park, I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Tammy - the whole potluck was good. I liked the enchilada and it seemed quite small which made me happy. There was some Mexican beans, rice, and an orzo salad. We also had a few other dishes and of course, lots of desserts. It was the first time I tried orzo salad and I didn't think it had a lot of flavor, perhaps it was just the recipe and another one I might have enjoyed more. But it was good to have the authentic Mexican dishes. We also had the park owners single us out and asked us to sit with them to get acquainted. It was nice and they said they have heard lots of complimentary things about us so of course that made us feel good.

Heather, I would repeat what everyone else said - it looks great! I especially noticed the back - I am not always pleased with the back of mine, so I guess that is why I noticed yours! LOL


Re bill paying - I have always been paid once a month [twice a month when the new semester begins] so I have always just paid most all at once and then the rest as they trickled in.


Joe says he doesn't have the "sunburn feel" that they said he might have after the procedure, so that is good. He was told it would be two-three weeks before he could tell if there had been a significant improvement. So we are still waiting...


SS, how were the chicken enchiladas? They sounded yummy.


I already have some laundry going and may go over to campus today to work on an exam. I can do it at home, but what I choose to do on the computer works better there for some reason - if I knew what it was, I could probably adapt at home.

I just don't get on here as often as I should.

Tammy - It was bill paying day here too. Usually I try to do them as they come in but this month I just put them on the counter and today was the day that I couldn't put off any more. :)

Heather - Nice hair cut. I think I'm getting close to that time too. I don't have the problem of it being too thick though. My problem is just the opposite and it gets to a point that I can't do a thing with it. AND it just seems to keep getting thinner. Also I think some of my meds cause damage.

We're on a cold spell here again. We don't have a lot of snow though they are saying we could get a bit in the next couple of days. I just hope it stays good on Sunday since our daughter has to drive back home to Jamestown that day. She's here to play in the symphony concert again. She just came home from rehearsal a bit ago and said she only liked on of the pieces they are playing and since it's the Children's Concert she said the music isn't something the kids will like either except for the one she said she liked. She usually liked the music they play.

Sharon, Eileen & PJ - I wonder how my body would like your changes in weather.

Tammy - I hope all is going well for you mom.

Sharon - Norm sounds like he's dealing with what so many are dealing with here too. We've bee lucky so far. I may be nasty but if some one is coughing or looks like they aren't feeling good I tend to stay as far away as I can. When I go to the Y I wipe down the machines with antiseptic/disinfectant both before and after I use them.

Sharon - I have to say I've gotten better in the last 5 years or so about getting regular cleaning and dental checkups. My last 2 visits to the office haven't been planned ones though, first to replace a tooth in a plate and yesterday to fix a tooth that chipped that anchors my partial. The reason I didn't go for a while is I didn't like the dentist we were going to. Darrell still goes to him but I found a new one. He happens to be Jennys age and they were in Sunday School, high school and college together (at least till he went to dental school). He now is dealing with cancer and is currently going through another round of stem cell transplant.

Tammy glad all is going good for your Mom wow out and about right after a stents that is so positive .

The housing of his Brother is still going on he just wont' change we just shake our heads .and got to laugh at how he thinks at times

Mike is doing better on the CPAP the nightly # is 80 now getting better.

We are getting ready for more snow this weekend and next week, we looked at the temp for the next 10 + days to maybe go some where but heck it is cold everywhere. So we will sit idle till it get a bit warmer and our credit union is redoing their banking system and most of the banking is down till the 4th of Feb . so we sit idle on that too.

Mostly staying in the house staying away from places don't want to flu knock on wood I haven't got it . .

Finally got my hair trimmed today....I have been trying to let it grow longer but today it had got out of control ....way to thick so needed thinning~~and edges needed trimmed toget the length even~~

Played cards today and it was my day to serve. I made a breakfast pizza which had to be put together while playing and then guessed at the timing so we would have a hot dish but missed that and the eggs ran all over the pan. Tasted good but looked terrible.

Tomorrow is a busy day. Going to Valley Financial to get answers to questions, I think or hope. I am now at the age I have to begin taking my annuity monies out. Then I have to clean the floors as they show all kinds of dirt, make a dessert and be ready for company in the evening. Will keep me hopping. Mom wanted to fit an activity in as well but can't see doing it time wise.

Sharon that cold front is coming through tonight here as well. Had a high of 90 today and they say a high of 62 tomorrow. What a winter!! up & down like a yo-yo! Chance of rain x3 this week. We need it but the predictions don't often come through. The was a big grass fire north of us either Tues. or Weds.

Heather, our street can handle a 3 car width as people park on both sides of the street in the summer due to the ball park across the road from us. That leaves a one way traffic through the parked cars and hard to get out for us too. Winter they keep it quite open. We do have 3 streets around us. A major st. a neighborhood st. when people park, and the cul-de-sac.

Tammy hope mom can keep on top of the situation for her.

PJ it was a warm one today. Didn't realize it was 90 until I looked at our thermometers and both read the same. Hope Frank got lots of fishing and fish today.

WG, I don't think I will be watching except for the commercials and half time show. Otherwise with the Vikings not playing, I don't pay much attention to football.

I'm almost done with my yarn projects for a while. Got other things in the works.

The kids are coming for dinner Sunday. We aren't big football people but will be watching or at least enjoying Superbowl food. It sounds like fun.

Another busy day! Nala and I have been on two shorter walks already. After I finish Sparking, we will make a grocery run.

Then this evening we have a community potluck. I am looking forward to sampling the homemade enchilada's our park owner is making.

Today is still beautiful weather but tonight a cold front is moving in with cooler temps and rain showers for the next couple of days.

Heather - I'm not a big fan of tuna but I do enjoy making a tuna pattie once in awhile. I just use egg and bread crumbs (I use crushed port rinds) and spices and then pan fry them. I make a dill sauce which we enjoy with them.

Tammy - I hope your mom continues to stay on top of the kidney situation. I also hope this procedure helps the pain for Joe.

Eileen~~ our street had become one lane with all the snow adding up from people clearing their driveways..(normally in summer our street is wide enough for 3 cars to pass if they had to) It was getting dangerous just trying to get out of the drive onto the street....you could not see anything coming till it was too late....been a few close calls ~~

Tammy....Alex and I were just talking the other day about how quickly the days go by.... wonder if that's an aging thing?

Marianne....glad you are home safe and sound ~~I always find that after a trip...I just want to chill out~~ BUT there is always all that work of emptying the travel trailer and getting the washing done....etc...etc...

Mom got her post-hospital stay kidney function blood test yesterday afternoon, so that To Do item is done.


Joe has his Fassett [sp?] procedure this morning - I so hope it helps his pain.


It's also the first of the month and that means "Pay the Bills" day. Amazing how quickly it all goes...


Hello to all

Today was a sweep the floors, laundry, unpacking what little I took with. Mom wanted to go out to the Texas Roadhouse for the weekly steak special so went and met up with lots of park people. One group asked us to join them and we enjoyed the evening even more. Brought half the steak and baked potato home so will have good steak sandwich with a hot half of the potato tomorrow. I usually do this and mom give us her half so Roger gets more tomorrow too.

TC, I find the gel goopy too but use it when the eyes are really burning and tired. Helps! Can't read for a while after using though.

Sharon, I was down for a solid day with the cough and lungs hurting. As of Sat. was up and going. Not sure if it's the same but the cough and runny nose is hanging in there. But at night with the essential oils the cough isn't there while sleeping. Glad Norm is doing well. I thought it was all ladies on the bus trip but we had several gents too.It was our park's poker ladies that got the park included on the trip and we filled about half the bus! I think I was taking mom's place!

PJ. I waved as we went by your turn off both going and coming home. Did see a couple blimps up along the way.

Heather, that's good luck!! We wouldn't see a plow unless it was mornings and daylight! Glad they keep it cleared for you.

Yesterday we went to see "12 Strong" I am glad to see it but it's hard to sit through as I kept remembering it was based on true facts. Everyone should see what these men go through in Afghanistan. They are heroes and vets deserve so much better than they get. Sorry about that but I'm still thinking of what our military goes through.

Tonight is Card Elimination. We didn't go last week because of Norm being sick. He's doing well so we'll go. He's pretty much back to normal except for the drainage and cough which people tell us hangs on for a few weeks!

Eileen - your bus trip sounds like a fun adventure. And you came back without losing money so it was a win/win situation. Was it all women on the bus? I'm glad you got to go.

TC - you had a good day at the casino as well. All this casino talk makes me miss going even more!

Marianne - I will be trying to call TeePee Campground as soon as we decide on a date and how many sites we'll need. At that time I'll ask the name of the motels neighboring the campground.

I did try the gel gtts and they seem to work better. Just goopy as heck. I did the ointment last night and that helped some also. Again, real goopy. Making more tuna salad for the weeks lunch meals. Not much else going on today. TC

I had a good time with the casino trip. This was a fun trip just to relax even though it was 5 hours out and 5 back. We had a great driver that made it fun, interesting food and BR breaks and when we arrived everything was ready for us but had to wait about an hr. for our room keys. Lovely room! We were given $40 to play with and then as new members there was another chance for money and I got $30 more. So played with that and my $1 to get it going. Came back with about $100 but then the fast foods (Subway for dinner and ice cream for last break) took some of that and the tip for the driver and tour guide that ended up in the hospital there in ICU with a diabetic reaction. Our bus was full with people from Harligen, Westlaco, us and Mission and I must say our park filled half the bus. Lots of laughter with the group coming home. Got to watch a movie going and coming back. I don't go with the thought of winning. I usually donate my quota for the month or couple month.

Tammy yes, we/they did play bingo with a computer app and bingo cards with slide covers. Worked out well. Glad your mom got her medications and is able to distribute them out.

Sharon, it was also beautiful at Eagle Pass. Maybe the winter with show itself yet.

Marianne, trips are fun and then you have to work when you get home. Drats! :-) i am doing the same even though it was overnight!

TC, I work with the same thing. Have you tried the gel drops? They do work longer and better. I switch to them off and on. Sounds like you had a good day otherwise. Hope you got some R&R too. WTG in the casino!!

It was a good day. Donated blood, saw eye doc and she confirmed my dry eye syndrome is worse. Wanted me to start restasis but it is horrible expensive and a STEROID. I really am not ready for that yet so I will add more drops daily and some ointment at night. Went to casino and had $100 free play again. 2nd week for that. I left with $75 of theirs...LOL and a free meal. I say I made out like a bandit. AGAIN ! I love that. Shopped a little. Got my exercise in and am going to make bread and ice cream now.

Sharon, I checked out the Mackinaw City thread and forgot to mention that according to their website, they are taking reservations by phone. Not sure if it’s accurate though.

After arriving home yesterday we unloaded the rv but need to clean and store stuff today. It looks like the area got plenty of rain while we were gone, lots of green and my daffodils are blooming. I stayed up to do 4 loads of laundry last night; wanted to cross something off my to-do list!

Oh, marvelous sleep is so great! Also, enjoying a cup of coffee in a leisurely manner and a non-styrofoam cup! [I am still aware of enjoying so much after the hospital stay...]

I "supervised" while my mom filled her 7-day pill organizer yesterday afternoon. She is gaining more confidence in that chore. The arrythmia prescription is finally filled! Mom drove about 15 miles to a neighboring town on Sunday afternoon. She said the drive wasn't a problem, but she was exhausted after getting through the store. She hasn't been released a week yet, so I thought that was all pretty good, anyway. I made contact with her kidney specialist's office yesterday and they were going to contact the dr/hospital where she was to see what was going on. I am glad to have that in process.

I have done well, I think. I got back enough to cover the room fee and my dinner at a $10 buffet that wasn't even worth $5. We had intermittent heavy fog as we traveled. Saw a movie the first half and then played bingo the 2nd half of the trip. I had my Kindle along to read.
The internet (my Verizon) is so slow tonight that I get up and do something waiting for a page to open. So I won't prolong the agony and will chat more tomorrow night. Not back to the park until at least 7:30 in the evening. Good night!

My working weekends can not be changed with out an act of God. So, saying that, I work June23-24, July 14-15, August 4-5 so any weeks not including those would probably work for Mike and I to meet you all in MI.

Getting late and I have to get up early for eye doc tomorrow. Met mom today for lunch. it was nice and her dog got another toy...LOL !! TC

Yea we have sunshine today. I stayed in all day yesterday so need to get out again already went for my trail hike.

Sharon I have no idea on our summer/fall plans for this year.

Today is beautiful! Now I remember why we come south for the winter, lol.

I took a nice steak out for grilling later today.

I must go do laundry. Normally, I just sit and play on my phone but my something new for the challenge is putting my pride aside and using the gym equipment while others are sitting and watching. BTW, I must not be the only one embarrassed as I have never seen anyone use them. They probably have dust on them!

Several team members have expressed an interest in having a rally this summer at Mackinaw City. Our normal month of Sept would be too late, as a lot of attractions close after Labor Day as their workers are mostly college students that return to school. If you are interested, please let me know and when would be good for you. We have to get busy as the sooner we can make reservations, the better as it is a very busy area.

On early today. Home from church, started laundry and began to pack for an overnighter! Getting up about 5:30 AM to catch the bus at 6:45 so I am going to try to sleep early tonight. Shortly will be going up to setup for ice cream social. Have a memorial and refreshments about the same time and a dance until 5 then more entertainment for 6 PM. We are sandwiched in very tightly!!! Hope to have some people for our function but feel as though the managers are pushing hard to get rid of us. I think the park will have an uprising if that happens. A couple have left already saying they'd never been to a more nasty park with managers!! Questionable yr.!!

Sharon, no rain to talk about here. Had a few drops before going to church. Over closer to SPI, they had 1.5" overnight. Hope you have a good day.

Tammy, I hear you with picking your battles. Some are doozies.

Hi to all. We are off to see if we get any customers for ice cream and brownies. Next week we will be serving banana splits and we will get people then!! It won't matter the activities they add around us.

At least the rain has finally stopped! We never left the MH yesterday after returning from breakfast. It rained hard all day and evening. We went to bed and it was still raining. It stopped sometime in the night but what a muddy mess it left to dry up. The soil here has so much caliche in it. Even when it's dry we track it in. You can imagine the mess it makes when it is wet! I cleaned my floors yesterday while I was stuck inside. Now today it will get all messy again!

I think we are driving up to Aransas Pass this afternoon. It's a nice small neighboring town with a few different restaurants and stores. Norm needs something from Lowe's and we'll stop at the WM as it's bigger than the Portland WM. Then of course, we'll eat lunch there as well.

I must be catching up from my few days of not-so-great-rest at the hospitals. I was awake at my usual time this morning.


I had to shake my head the other morning when my mom said she had a slice of Spam at breakfast. She has repeatedly shared that she doesn't eat ham because of the salt content. I shall pick my battles.


I got a nice 30 minute walk yesterday and it was outside which was a win/win. I hope today it will be manageable as well.

I had my oils going last night and today at massage, he had his going too. Eucalyptus is what he had and was very pleasant. Started mine in the bedroom early evening and will refill tonight again. I use a mix but Thieves is primary. Add a little peppermint!

Tammy I agree with you in going to help with mom. I am sitting alone here and a helping hand always feels good. Hope mom is doing okay.

Brenda, Roger is go, go too but recognizes my need for some morning quiet time. I am sure it will all work out for you too.

Marianne, I have many different oils that I really love. Frankincense, Purification, lavender, lemon, Tea Tree, Panaway, cloves etc. I use several at one time and the fragrances are really refreshing.

Sharon, I guess there has been a lot of rain in the RGV today. On both sides of us around 1.5". We had nothing and the temp was 81 high. Tomorrow it's 67 for a high. I stayed in except for massage. Glad Norm is up and going again. An omelette sounds good. Maybe tomorrow.

Heather, your household and ours appear to be very similar. Roger is up by 6 AM and out for a 2 hr. coffee with the guys while I sleep in. I can get moving by 10 AM easily but 6 is far too early when I don't get to bed until 1AM and to sleep later.

Carol at least we don't have the problem of being together for long periods of time. We did well on our 6 month vacation with a short break while at home helping our son move.

PJ, I hope Frank gets the truck up and going. That's hard when you are out and traveling. It looks like we all have different times we like to arise in the AMs. Mine comes from work the night shift too many yrs.

I'm the early bird usually up at 5am and in bed by 9pm. Frank stays up a bit later and sleeps till about 7:30. I love mornings and that is when I love to go and to get things done Thus my morning walks and when at home going to the fitness center.

Turning out to be a beautiful day here mild winds and some sunshine.

We have had some truck issues so Frank ended up ordering a part (almost $200) to be delivered here and he should be able to put it on with no problems some kind of connector.

Stay or get healthy everyone. We're good, but we don't go out much and I always wash my hands thoroughly (think surgical prep) when I get home from wherever, esp shopping.

It's been snowing on and off here this a.m. When I finish this, I'm going to go back to the gym. Got out of the habit when I had foot surgery and now need to get back INTO the habit. Where's my lock, where's my membership tag?

Sounds like some people are trying to figure out how to handle retirement. My suggestion is to live somewhere you have 2 floors. My DH has taken over the basement and I'm upstairs often by myself. I'm somewhat concerned about spending 2 weeks in hotel rooms and ship cabins with him. Nah, not really. I did get an eye mask and ear plugs, tho', as he stays up later than me.
