Until this past year, I really didn't follow any kind of plan or do anything other than "just go for a run". But, this year I did a half-marathon so I did somewhat follow a training program that I found in runners world (I think it was runners world). Also my husband does a lot of triathlons and marathons, so he is constantly training. I guess I do get ideas and tips from him too.

Hope to see some posts :)

So does anyone follow any particular kind of person/coach/plan or running philosophy?

I'd normally say I don't but then if I think about it, I did two half marathons following Hal Hidgon's plans on his website. When I'm not training for a race, I'm usually doing an abbreviated version of those plans or mixing and matching other things I read from his spring training plans, etc.

I've read many, many authors but that's where most of my ideas for running come from.

Anybody else?
(I figure maybe this will get some posts going.)
