Thanksgiving has come and gone up here in Canada, but I am planning to run 5-10k tomorrow anyways. Have a good one.

Yup! Im not going for the organized run either- going to do a 5K out and back from my door - to -u, my door.

I bet I win... what do you think?

I hope to! The Turkey Trot in my town is a "Race Against Hunger". This would be my first organized run and I've been looking forward to it for a while. Last year I couldn't because I was out of town. I just got back from the doctor today and may be unable to run for a while. If that is the case I'm still signing up and walking it. :) Good luck on yours!

Hey there...great idea to Turkey Trot before gobbling up a celebratory meal. I don't generally go for an organized run or race, but do try to get out on Thanksgiving for the same reason you mention...to justify the meal, heehee.
Maybe you will be able to run the 4 miler and hubby could run the 1 miler with kiddos...

its thanksgiving day...our local running store is hosting it or sponsoring it...its either a 1 miler (something I would like my kids to do) or a 4 miler (something I am planning to do) my husband isn't into it he runs sometimes but I think he doesn't want to deal with the cold and the getting up early my daughter who is 8 expressed an interest now I don't know what to do...
anyway..anyone else planning on running on Thanksgiving day? I try to run anyway so I can justify eating my meal! LOL
