I'm in MD and it's just the norm in the summer. I agree-go out early, take water and just run slower. The upside is when you race in the Fall you will be soooo much faster.

I run first thing in the morning, plus I put wet towels in the fridge to make them nice and cold for after my run.

I also try to find routes through neighborhoods so I can run through a few sprinklers along the way. ☺

I had been putting off my runs because of the heat and humidity we're having here in Ohio. But I went for it last evening and it went pretty well. I didn't take water with me, and my run was shorter than I wanted because of it. Gatorade is a great idea too . . I never think of that!

My next purchase will be some new running clothes with wicking material. I'm sure that will help me too!

I run early in the morning. Make sure to carry water with me or gatorade. I wear wicking clothing. I make sure to listen to my body and not overdue it. Sometimes if you have to then you run on the treadmill.

Go in the morning as early as possible or later in the evening after it has coolded down. Heat stroke can happen without warning, so carry water. Sit down in shady places if you are feeling tired. Carry a cell phone to call for help. If you don't have one, get a Road ID. And don't try to set any world's records right away.

Hello everyone! I'm writing from Delaware, where we are in the middle of a wonderful heat wave that has pushed us up to the high 90s with a heat index pushing it over 100 degrees (F). Delaware has a LOT of humidity and I want to run but I don't want to, you know, die. How are you all planning to "beat the heat" and keep running?

No day but today.
