THanks TS--The guy at Dicks Sporting Goods recommended buying a show 1 to 1.5 size larger than what I wear for non-running shoes, so I buy one size larger.....

You lucky you are ladies and have the nail polish to bail you out............I haven't any advise, I just know how to avoid it with the shoes being big and touch wood I've been fortunate not to have developed any. Just out of curiosity did you buy your shoes from a running specialist or did you figure out what is big enough for yourself? I'd confirm that they are truly roomy enough for your toe.

Keep moving!

I think I have one too!! Same toe and all. But, since I already have really dark polish on, I haven't seen the whole nail yet. Definitely something going on there though.

I think I need to practice the mantra and see if that helps: "heel the toe, heel the toe"

I have it too! Same toe and probably for the same reason and my shoes are definitely big enough. I use body glide on my toe to cut the friction and keep pretty toe nail polish on so nobody notices that it's black. There is no more pain so I just live with an ugly nail...but if anyone has other advice, I'd love to hear it too.

Howdy strong road runners!

I think i have developed "runner's toe" an injury to the toe nail of my second toe. This is caused by friction of the toe against shoe by running, obviously. I have checked & my shoes are big enough--not tight.

Any advice on how to heal this?

Heal the toe, heel to toe...*snort*

THanks!!!!!!!!!!!!! Peace--Anne
