Well I have figured out my average steps for each day for the last week, its 3600.
I haven't had much luck getting back over 6000 again yet, but I am staying between 3000 and 4000. this weekend is going to be go, go, go, so I am hoping to hit between 15,000 and 20,000 steps.
Just remember ladies 2,000 steps burns 100 calories!

I have finally broke the 3,000 mark. Yesterday I make it to just over 6,000. Now I am working to stay over 6,000.

Great idea Shannon, I know I love mine.

For steps, when I am work CardioVascular at the hospital I get around 10,000 to 12,000 steps in. When I work the ER, I will maybe get 3,000. My off days are sad, to low to even mention.

Great job Shannon, I think a pedometer would be a great reward. Keep going girl, you are doing an amazing job! I am so proud of you!

I was just wonder how everyone is doing with their step?

I am having trouble getting past 3,000 per day. I can get more in on the weekends but during the week I have an awful time with it.
I hope everyone else is still going strong!

There's an idea. I can "reward" myself with a pedometer! I really want to go get one of those. I lost another 2 pounds, so my total for the last week is 5!!!! Yeah me! So I think I will go shopping today! Thanks everyone!!!

My pedometer is the same for me. It is part of my wardrobe!! LOL. For my first 10lb loss, I bought a real nice one from work (we get a great discount about 1/4 of the cost).

It calculates miles, steps, aerobic steps, calories and fat grams. It was an awsome reward!

My pedometer has almost become an obsession. emoticon Now I'm trying to find ways to add extra steps into my day because I'm way below the 10,000 a day. I park on the 2nd level of our parking garage now in the furthest corner so I can add some extra steps (and stairs!) into my day. As of today I'll also be taking the stairs down when I leave the building. (We have to take elevators up. emoticon ) Instead of printing and just waiting a while to go pick up a slew of papers from the printer I now walk to pick up each individual print job. I check my pedometer a number of times throughout the day now to see where I'm at. It's becoming my "thing" to keep me motivated during my day. emoticon

As soon as I get a functioning pedometer I am going to start counting again. I really like your idea of mileage too. I might "walk" to the smokies or somewhere else where there is shade and green.

I was just wondering how many people were trying to get 10,000 steps a day?

For every action there is a reaction.
For every morsel eaten there is calories gained.
For every movement there is calories burned.
For every compliment there is another moment spent on task.
For every moment spent on task there is success.
Success does not have to be in big leaps and bounds.
Success comes in every step you take.
So lets keep it moving with every step we take.
For every 2,000 steps you burn 100 calories.
So go for 10,000 steps a day to get even closer being healthy. emoticon
