Well my family is relatively tame after reading this. I say this no knowing about my Mum's side (totally Irish) I do however have a hitman in the family, well he's not around anymore, but I remember him when I was younger as a really great bloke. Thank Christ I never came across him as an adversary.

When my dad went to Russia, he took a belly button brush in a nice little box to give someone as a present.

When he died, my mother was frantically trying to give away things he had accumulated over the years. Are you thinking fine art from his travels to the motherland? Money, perhaps? How about cans of tomatoes with green peppers. And socks.

Lol. My whole family is skewed and warped. We are German-Irish hillbilly. We are glad being skewed and warped is our only mental challenge. Lol.

At a funeral home, my great aunt ( 97, 4'11" and 95 Lbs and using a walker ) eases up to Pops ,6'2" and 225 lbs. ) calls him by my cousins name and started a conversation. I introduced Pops to her and told her he was not my cousin but my husband. When my husband walked off, she informed me that she know he wasn't my cousin. Said she just likes to fine a way to talk to big ,good looking men. And she continued to flirt with him until her son took her home.

Good heavens, I have a whole family tree of them! My maternal grandfather was a respected professor at Notre Dame University in Indiana. My father, on his way to visit my mother, saw Grandpa being towed down the street through the snow by my mother's dog, holding on his hat and shouting, "MUSH!" at the top of his lungs.

And I haven't even gotten to the Irish side of the family.

I can't be the only one who inherited slightly skewed and a little warped genes. My father (may his memory be a blessing) tried most of the time to hide his tendency towards warpage. But he was not always successful. One of my earliest memories was of him singing a song in an operetic Spanish: "No chingas la burega..." I don't have a clue why I remember this. I couldn't have been more than four years old. But I remembered it well enough to look it up when I took Spanish in high school. It means don't castrate the lamb.

I have a great grandmother whose three husbands all ran away. Another great grandmother had three husbands who were all murdered by Apaches, who apparently wanted her for themselves. One of them ate only apples one day a week to stay slim and had grew her hair so long it trailed on the floor when she let her braids out. Guess which one.

What about you. Do you have a twisted chromosome somewhere?
