Bike lanes and greenways are HUGELY helpful. While they aren't the "solution" they certainly take us in the right direction and it pays for any cyclist to push your political leaders toward developing more of these and to thank them when they do.

I think I'd just be happy if the US could do away with the **point** system for taking bikes out.
I'm kidding sort of To be honest, the virtrol towards cyclists was the reason I didn't do a lot of riding when I moved here. There was a cyclist hit and the comments in the online version of the paper were chilling. I think those were just trolls though because so far as least I haven't had any problems. It probably helps that the city has been working to add bike lanes and greenways around. "There's so much to discover,

I'm from Germany and I didn't even know we had something like a National Cycling Plan... But it's good to know that it exists and that they're planning to improve conditions for us cyclists. Thanks for sharing!
