We had a great time at the Hancock 100 and I can recommend it for a first-time century. It's well-organized, the volunteers and food are terrific, and it is flat. It's not very scenic, at least compared to central PA, but it's hard to beat our area for scenic beauty.

Had I been sparking more, more often, and paying attention I might have thought to plan for this. But as it is, while my average pace has come up quite a bit in two years, I still think it would be nine hours for me to pull a full century. So not this year. I hope all who go have a wonderful time!

I am!! I'm coming out with 3 or 4 friends. We've been training every weekend--our last ride was 75 miles over rolling hills. That should make us ready for 100 flat.

20, 40, 62 and 100 Mile Routes
"Join us for one of the flattest rides in Ohio. Great ride for your first 100 mile “Century” attempt. Bicycle dealer/vendor displays and a free ice cream social Saturday evening. “Chris Cakes” serving hot cakes breakfast Sunday morning. Ride fee includes: patch (to first 1000 registrants), map, rest stops w/food, lunch, SAG support and a well marked route on smooth blacktop roads. All corners are swept the day prior to the event. There will be certificates of completion and ice cream (from 2 pm - 4 pm) at the end of the ride for everyone."
