I do that too. I am actually surprised how long the range of the wiimote is. I run all around the upstairs of our apartment and it totally registers the movement.

I also run all over the place when doing the free run on Fit Plus. I don't like running in place, but moving around the room (or as far as I can get a connection) is a good workout.

JYCAEGIMA,
I love the tennis that came with my console (WiiSports)...and the bowling..oh yeah and the baseball.
When I play against another Mii on tennis, I kick butt, but when I play against my hubby...rofl, he wins every time.

oh yeah...and then the golf...love it too. Me and my hubby are always challenging each other on the 9 hole course.

Totally silly looking while doing it, but I love playing the Wii Tennis. Anyways, I still maintain the calorie estimate is ridiculously high for the game. I put on really upbeat music and do the mash potato while playing tennis. It makes it a really difficult workout--especially if you play 2 best out 5 games back to back.

That's a great idea you came up with for Rhythm Boxing. It makes these games even more exciting to play when we add our own little personal touches.

I love tweaking things...what can I say, I'm a tweaker..lol
When I first started playing Wii, I was solely doing the "free step" but I couldn't take the "tap tap tap" background sounds...so I burned a CD with all my favorite upbeat music and muted the sound and stepped to the rhythm of my music. It was awesome.

I do this with alot of the WiiFitPlus activities...and the same with Walk It Out.

I don't just walk in place...I walk all over my livingroom and parts of the kitchen where I can still get a connection. I also dance to the music lifting my legs up high and waving my arms all over the place...I probably look like a right ninny half the time, but that's ok, cause it makes me feel great, hehe

On the free step I have added my own platform; BF bought it for me so I could step about 2 years ago. It gets used now.. I have a heart monitor and it tells me the real cal i burn. I set the free step for 20 min then 20 more. not sure why but it makes it a lot easier to do then 30 and 10.

I cannot believe I didn't realize this before. I love the rhythm boxing, it is fun and it makes me sweat. I always march in place during the instructions so that my heart rate doesn't drop, but that really didn't make it hugely more challenging.

I have started alternating the different kinds of punches for the various patterns. For example, jab and cross for a two beat pattern or maybe a hook, jab, uppercut for a three beat pattern. It has changed the entire workout and made it a lot more challenging.

What other little changes has everyone made to make Wii Fit even more enjoyable or sweat-inducing? emoticon
