This is an awesome and supportive team and an amazing site. I find the nutrition and fitness trackers invaluable. You should be able to follow your protein intake on this site as well. Try to take one day at a time and remember we are all in this together!

Hi, I just rejoined Spark People again. I have been retired since 2002. My daughter just retired too, and now I know I am old. No, not really. I try to stay young and not let a number dictate how I feel. I will be 76 in January. I take care of my gs while his parents work, I have 2 little dogs to take care of and I love to putter around in the garden. I have been single since 1984. I live in California now, originally from the midwest.

I need support in sticking to my diet. My doctor has me on no more than 40 gm of protein per day and 1600 calories. It is sometimes hard to figure out what to eat and I definitely need to exercise if I am eating 1600 calories and exercise is not one of my fun things to do. Maybe I will get some motivation here.

Oh, in case anyone is wondering, no, I did not have my daughter at age 12. She took an early retirement from gov't work.
