well i guess i am very guilty of this act . I give away what i get that i do not need or want . I do not pretend that i bought it for them i just give it to them . why keep something i have no use for and someone else can use this item .

I don't re-gift, exactly but when I do get something I can't use and someone I know could I give it to them right then. No wrapping or pretending it was bought for them.

I do like the idea of the promise list. I'm going to try to get my kids to do this.

Hope is here-Perfection isn't

God Bless

I like your Promis List idea emoticon

This is just what I thought to be a very neat and informative "how to video"...that I think is very cleverly done...and will keep those who do "re-gift" and the recipients of re-gifted items from being embarrassed or offended. Personally, anything that I don't want..I give to the Salvation Army, to Food Banks and to Homeless Shelters. My siblings and I decided years ago that there were too many children in the family to keep trying to give Christmas gifts. My own children make "Promise Lists" as gifts which consists of non-monetary gifts throughout the year.

I belive in regifting. It's wasteful not to. I have received regifted candles and they were wonderful & much appreciated. I am regifting a throw blanket that is really nice, but I can't use.

in this day and age the need to regift is even bigger . when we have so many gifts that we have no need of then i feel if the item fits the person given then to regift is ok. I check to make sure not one card is in the box . that is a current item at the mall . not used or unusable .
