Thanks Nan, hope you have a nice one too.

Enjoy the holiday and take time to remember what we are celebrating-the lives that were given to make sure we remain free. Thanks to all who gave all and to those who are presently serving or who have served in the military.

Had a good dr visit today. However, DH got 2 new meds added and has to see dr again in 2 weeks. He was taken off of a medicine he used for over 25 years to control his migraines and now they are trying to find something else to take it's place for him and will keep his BP in check.

I used to live in an area of high rainfall and flooding certainly disrupts your life. People in the next road were often flooded in because of 2 low bridges, although their home never flooded.

TOTHEFUTURE1 sounds like a nice Sunday out. I used to go to aqua aerobics and loved it. In the summer (when I am not working), I like to work out in our community pool and do a lot of the exercises I learned in class.

More rain here today and good chance of it raining every day this week.

I go to Aqua aerobics most Sundays. This weekend I went with a friend to an Antique and Collectables fair and next weekend we are going to another.
I bought some cow manure and will spread, mix that on the garden soon.
We need rain but the weather is so nice its a pleasure to be outdoors.

Sandy glad to hear that everything is coming together for you and that a cousin is going to be able to make it to the wedding.

We are having a lot of rain. We needed it to keep the fire danger down so no complaints.

I got some extra sleep this morning so hoping that rejuvenates me for the coming week.

Pat - It good to hear that DH Doctors are getting close to figuring out what is wrong. You need to take care of yourself too remember.

tothefuture1 - What are you doing this weekend.

Nan - How are you doing?

I heard from my Cousin and they are going to come. I am just so very happy that they will be coming. I just am not down to a couple of things and I will be all done.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

More rain today-we got 2 more inches overnight.

I was so exhausted from the past week I slept from 11 pm till 10:30 am!! I know you really never catch up on lost sleep but I do feel a bit more rested. I hope and pray that once I get Bob trained in about 4 weeks, I can get back on my usual schedule.

Today we went to an open house at the local animal shelter. They were sponsoring an open house and no fee adoptions today. So many big dogs in there with little hope of being adopted. We are only allowed pets under 25 lbs and only 1 which we already have but I do donate to help the animals. They had the fire department there serving food and doing demonstrations for the kids. I pray some of the animals found a forever home.

I am happy to report the board of our community has hired a new office manager and I have spent the last 3 days training. I hope by mid June to be able to cut him loose.

DH is holding his own so hoping all stays good till we see the dr's on Tues and Wed.

We have been having a lot of rain-much needed-but could do without the thunder and lightning as it scares my furbaby. From Sun till this morning we had gotten 4 inches and it is raining again tonight. At least the fire danger is down!!

To the future I am glad you had a nice Mother's day.

Frosty you know what they say "it never rains but it pours" but it seems life can be unfair, never distributed evenly. We just have to keep as positive as possible.

Shivers nice to read how your wedding plans are moving forward and the big news at the moment is the English royal wedding to an American and they are having well publicized family issues.
As for me I enjoyed a nice Mother's day. My daughter cooked me a special breakfast.
The weather is very pleasant except for the wind which flares up my sinus.

Thanks Sandy. He really needs them. He is struggling at the moment. Next week we see his primary doc, the gastro dr and the cardiologist so hoping we can figure this out. His BP just keeps climbing and they have increased his meds but it doesn't seem to be working. He is getting very depressed about it all.

My son who had the horrible accident last Nov is getting better but now that Workmen's Comp is ready to settle with him, his company is going to terminate him!! Some treatment for an employee who went over a mountainside while on the job. They feel his is a liability now. Hoping he can find another job when he is released. He has a family to support. He is living in Ore at the moment.

Pat - I will keep DH in my Prayers. My Mom was Anemic and had a really hard time with her iron level. Plus she was Allergic to the iron pill. She got transfuses, Vitamin B -12 shots and took liquid baby iron. So, I understand how frustrating it must be. Hang in there. They will figure it out here really soon. You are in my thoughts.

Well, I got the invitations for the Wedding all done. I was hoping to be able to do them myself by my printer but, it would not take the paper I had to print them on. So, took them to Kinkos and had them all printed for .24 cents each. I looked on line and they ranged in price. But, They are done and mailed out. Unfortunately may Aunt is sound like she will not be coming as she is still holding a grudge from when he use to drink. She doesn't believe in giving people second chances. So , she doesn't think he can change. I kind of hurts as that is the only family I have. Everyone else has passed away. But Life is too short to worry about things. I was able to get my Son some nice dress pants from Kohl's over the weekend for the wedding. That kid only wears jeans and doesn't have any nice dress pants. Got DH a new wallet and both got dress socks for the wedding. I now have that out of the way. I still have to find shoes for myself. I have most everything done. I'm going to put fake flower petals on the table in either brunt orange or dark red since my theme for the wedding is Harvest. So, I am waiting closer to fall to see what they get in at Michael's.

I hope everyone has a great week.

Thanks Sandy. Hope you have had a great Mother's Day too.

DH is holding his own but we are having a problem getting his hemoglobin up-he has had 2 iron infusions but so far the number isn't climbing. He may have to have a blood transfusion.

I am still working full time (or as full as I can manage with his appointments).

I was an office manager so I can still do what I once did, it isn't physical labor but my computer skills sure need some work but I can still do get done what I need to!! I have been filling in for short periods of time for the past few years so that isn't a problem, I am just not used to trying to do all this and keep up with everything at home. DH has health issues so he isn't a lot of help. I have to take off to take him to dr appointments Wed and Fri mornings and I am taking the whole day on Thur as we had booked an afternoon dinner cruise before I knew I was going to have to work!! They have to be satisfied with the time I am willing to give them or "fire me".

It's amazing you are able to pick up after 20 years. I don't think I could. I would be happy to return to work but much of what I did 20 years ago is physically impossible.

I am working full time until the board gets a new office manager hired and after having been retired for almost 20 years, it is easy getting up to go to work every day!!! Even when they get someone hired, I will have to train them!!

Can you believe that the new hire gave her notice yesterday and left today!! The prior office manager has been helping out but she is a snowbird now and is leaving in the morning soooo I am holding down the fort while our board hires someone new to fill the position and I will have to do the training!!

DH is feeling better but the GI bleed has lowered his hemoglobin level and It is being watched closely to see if he will need a transfusion. We have gotten thru one month of the heart monitor and 2 to go. After that dr will decide if he needs a pacemaker.

Me, well I am stressed out and not doing well with it all - trying to just hold steady for now with my weight as I am not getting in all the exercise I would normally.
