Coupons can be your friend or your enemy.
Don't buy a product you would not ordinarily use, just because you have a coupon. Of course, this may be the time to try something new. Consider the cost of the item with the coupon, vs the store brand. Many times, the store brand is still cheaper.

A - Add up what I spend on "little things" (cups of coffee, packs of gum, etc) every few weeks. It really shows me how much more I could be saving if I made the coffee at home...

Neighbors-
Get to know your neighbors. Not as many people do this today as when I was younger or in my parents generation, but neighbors can be a great resource and you in turn can be helpful and neighborly to them.

You can exchange babysitting services or swap talents. For example, I proofread my neighbors dissertation for school for free and she helped me sew a quilt for a fraction of what it would have cost if I just bought one.

Having a game night or alternating dinner nights with our neighbors provides entertainment for us, fun for our children, and cuts down on expensive evenings out as well. We really enjoy their company and both of our lives are made easier by the reciprocal help we give to each other.
