Haven't been on this thread for a while but It's great to see how well everybody is doing. I'm sad to say that I may not lose 20 by labor day dispite all my running but I will reach my mini goal! See my ticker down there. That's my mini goal. Baby steps ya know. After I reach 160 my next goal will be 140!

I'm giving myself one more day before I reign the food in again, and hopefully keep up with the walking more!

Happy Wednesday!

The sun is out here in Northern, IL again and there is a breeze, so it's not too hot. It's a fantastic weather day!

I've been making some horrible choices with food, but I've stepped up my exercise a bit. Now if I could just eat right AND get myself to exercise!!

Not much else is going on today - I've been steadily crossing tasks off the to-do list, and I went out during lunch and bought a couple new shirts. (Mainly because I just didn't like the shirt I was wearing!)

I have an all day meeting tomorrow, so I won't be able to check in until later.

Glad to hear that everyone is doing good. I am having a great Tuesday. I lost 5 additional pound. I reached my -50 pound mark today. I am down to 233. I want to get down to 225 by Labor Down. I started at 250.

This Monday isn't so bad! I got on the scale and still managed to loose 3lbs last week! I've found with me its all about portion control!

Another day of just taking it slowly - I've watched a movie with the kids and have straightened up around the house a bit. I'll hit the grocery store in a bit, too.

I haven't been doing terrific with my eating today, but I haven't been doing terrible, either. All of the ice cream and brownies are out of the house now, too.

My goal this week is to get more exercising in. I haven't been exercising for the past couple of days. I need to step it up BIG TIME! I know I can do it!

Can I join although I only have 10-13 lbs to lose?

My plan is to get to 120-125 lbs and right now i'm at 132-133 lbs. I'm at a healthy weight but not ideal. :)

HW on SP (Apr 16, 2006): 165.4 lbs / 75 kg

The headache I dealt with yesterday is back today, so I'm still taking it easy. I'll exercise later if the headache doesn't get any worse.

I lost 2 pounds over the last 2 weeks bringing my total up to -12 pounds total. I feel I could have lost more if I could have been physically better but that flu took a lot out of me.

I did get to sleep last night after I took an antihistamine to make me tired. Today, I'm a little groggy, but feeling less "frantic". Tonight I'll attempt to get to sleep "unaided" and hopefully will be able to feel much better tomorrow morning.

I'm so glad it's Thursday! The sun is out here, and that's always a good thing.

I didn't do any exercising yesterday, so I'll have to get out and walk and bike today!

Weekly weigh in today: 143 - I gained one pound over the last week -- any weight lost on our vacation is back now. TIME TO GET RID OF IT! :D

Hey, I have not posted because I have been sick with the flu but I am doing better now, and still motivated to loose this weight. I went to the dr yesterday, and the scale shows that I have lost weight so I am really happy about my progress.

Yesterday was a good day at work for me -- I like it when I can feel like I'm making a difference. I'm hoping to continue that feeling today. Having the extended break from work was nice, and changed my attitude a bit. Like I said, I hope to keep this feeling going a bit.

I got my exercise in last night, and was within my calorie ranges. I'm in a good place. I want this feeling to stick.

20 lbs by Labor Day!! YES WE CAN!

Glad you lost a pound, and that your shorts feel perfect now. I am having a wonderful day. It first started off a little shaky. I have bad anxiety when it comes to driving on the interstate because I truly dislike tight spaces, and heavy traffic, and I had to take my husband to work. My son had a dentist appointment but I made it there, and back okay. Later in the day, I took my children to the local rec center, and we played games there, and they placed on the playground. Then we watched around the baseball field twice. I treated them to ice cream but I didn't get any. Unfortunately on our way to the dentist, A bad storm with strong wind, thundering, hail and all came up so we had to come home. However, We had a great time. I feel great to be back on the active track again.

Gina, one of the things on the Sparkpoints page (scrolling down) is "Creating a Visual collage" - that sounds like what you were talking about.

In spite of feeling so yucky yesterday, I lost a pound somewhere along the way. I wish I knew how I did that!

On the up side, a pair of shorts that were tight last summer fit me perfectly this summer! I haven't lost a lot of weight, but it's good to "see" that I've lost SOME!

I watched the show I want to save my life your life, and he suggested to draw or find a pic of yourself at your goal weight and it doesnt have to be you at x amount of weight. It can be you running, and playing with a child or you skydiving or on a vacation. Just something you have as a personal goal, and carry it with you. That way you have a personal reminder with you at all times.

As me, I am still dealing with my head cold. But it does seem to be doing better. I am going to chill out today, and try to come up with a weekly plan for next week for myself, and my family so we can be more active, and that can get me to the gym.

Ugh - feeling bloated and cranky and dealing with the humidity here is just stealing all my energy.

I'm giving myself a bit of a break today -- I'm not going to be so hard on myself.

I'll be going on vacation in a couple of days, and I'm not sure how that will change my weight. I won't have as much access to Sparkpeople and Twitter, so my support system will be 'abandonded' for a bit.

Gina - congratulations on the 5 pound loss! That's fantastic!

Went over my calories a bit last night because I gave in to the call of a Skinny Cow bar when I should have been on the exercise bike.

The heat is still oppressive here in Northern, IL, but I plan to get at least one 'parking lot walk' in today, and hopefully the bike tonight.

I haven't been doing as well as I could be, and plan to pick up the pace a bit when I get back from vacation in a couple of weeks.

Sorry about your gain Pam but there could be different reasons. It could be due to salt intake or if you still have your period, that could be coming on, and causing it. Give it a few days, and see if the weight comes down.

Frustrated BEYOND BELIEF! I just don't know what to do anymore. I had a busy, active weekend. Didn't sit on my rear & do nothing. I was busy with softball and baseball tournaments. Got in some golf & spent the day at the waterpark yesterday, so plenty of exercise. Didn't eat JUNK, no concession food, I was such a good girl!
Stepped on the scale & I'm up 2.5 lbs. I don't know what I have to do. I don't get how it could come off so "easily" b4 & now no matter what I do RIGHT, it just isn't working. emoticon emoticon

I walked the parking lot yesterday, but did not exercise at home last night.

Cereal, canteloupe and water water water today so far. I have an errand to run this afternoon, so my usual "snacky time" will be interrupted - that's a good thing!

Heat warnings here in Northern, IL today. I don't know if I'll get a walk in, and I won't be cooking any big dinners tonight!

I started having some sinus issues yesterday.It is some type of head cold but I have decided to do as much as I could so I did 5 minutes on the elliptical, ate 1000 calories, and consumed well over 100 ozs of water.

Today, I am still feeling bad. I had a healthy breakfast, and am on my 5th glass of water.

I'm doing well today. I have made a weekly goal for myself to eat within 1600 calories a day which is really good because I have been eating over that the last few days and more. I am going to thrive to do 10 minutes of exercise today as well to start off exercising again until I can get back to the gym.

I'm achey today from the work I did yesterday, but I plan on getting some time on the semi-recumbent bike in this afternoon.

We had a big pancake breakfast brunch here, but had fruit and water for "lunch".

I stayed within ranges and got my "exercising" in yesterday! Woo!

Oooohhhh...I have to do some twitter ads. Let me know if I miss anybody. i am actually rogcar3 on twitter. don't follow rogcar2....because he is a dork...j/k he is my hubby.

Anyway, vacation starts next week and I am freaking out. I am traveling with old people who want to go to restaurants for the whole trip. I am going to try to weasel out as many times as I can. I hope to get in some hiking and swimming.

Clothes. Weird. We went shopping and I went from a muffintop 24 to a muffintop 18. I am very excited about the new clothes, but it is weird. I keep looking longingly at my old clothes. I am happy that they don't fit, but I am sad because I hand picked every piece. Am I being too weird? Anyway. I needed somewhere to vent, and twitter only gives you space to write 2 words.

Thanks for listening! I will twitter as much as I can from the mountains and let you know how much actual exercise I get and how much I pig out...tee hee.

Hopefully we can all get back on the wagon! emoticon

BTW - I am LOVING the bathroom squats and the stand up ab exercises. I can already feel a difference. I am going to try to keep up the habit while on vaca. Maybe I will try it in a public bathroom and see if I can freak someone out...haha.

30 squats and 3 reps of 10 of 2 of the exercises. Everyone around the office was doing the ab work by their desk. It was kind of funny to catch people doing it. Raftery - you started a trend! lol Good eating day today! Hopefully a few giant cups of water keep me from snacking tonight. Although, I have noticed that we don't keep as much junk food around as we used to, so it is hard to do toooo much damage. haha

I'm in the same "blimp" with you!

The past week or so has been "bad" for me - I've been eating more junk again, and not exercising. I need to get back to it - TODAY.

Rockin it today. 2 miles this morning, and 1100 calories today. Hopefully I can get together with Jillian so she can kick my butt....hmmmm.... feeling lazy and feeling a headache coming on. Going on vacation next week. Definitely packing my scale! emoticon

Well, I'm up 2 lbs, but not surprised. I know it will go away again. It's time for that monthly curse & I'm feeling like a blimp! So, I'm not too update about it b/c I know that 2 lbs will be gone again shortly. Unfortunately, my weigh in is back to 219.5 this morning tho. Bummer.

Hey sorry I've been MIA. I was involved in a minor fender-bender last week :( I'm ok and so is my car but I was left a little shaky. It happened as I was driving to the gym! Ugh. I didn't workout for a few days but I can't let stuff like that get to me. I did a kickboxing class yesterday and ran for 30 minutes :) I didn't lose any until this morning slight weight loss Yay!
