That sounds like a good idea, Gail. I use Firefox and will try old-timey IE, still in my machine. I've had Chrome and it may or may not still be in here.

I can't remember numbers. I'm not particularly good at remembering names, and that is getting worse. I remember life descriptions. I remember someone's story.

Sometimes a different browser will allow for a different set of options on a website. See what your SP pages look like if you change your browser. I use Chrome.

"Recent Message Board Posts" isn't something I would have turned off, as it's a neutral. I don't know if it ever appeared on my page. I do have "My Recent Posts" on the Start page, but it shows my last three only. It also seems unlikely that what I was hoping to find would appear under the "Recent...," as it was years ago.

I'm not well connected with SP. A couple-three months back, I ceased to have the buttons at the top of SP emails with articles, recipes, et al., that are needed to save to favorites and the like. An SP "coach" gave me some suggestions to remedy the situation, but they're beyond my level of expertise.

Gail, we didn't chat recently about my old topic. You must be pretty good because I can't read even my own thoughts any more.

There is a default setting for Recent Message Board Posts on each individual My SparkPage. It's located beneath Leave Comment, the 4th item in the little box called My SparkPage Actions. It's on my page but it's not on your page. Laurie, you might have turned yours off at some point. No idea if it has a retroactive list you can search if you add it to your page now.

You can search my Recent Message Board Posts ... I don't remember if I chatted with you or only read your thoughts. Any idea of about when that conversation was happening?

If, as Eco says, it is here on our site, and if you have the inclination, then it can be found.

Good luck!

I don't see it happening. I've entered all the words I'm sure of in SP and in Google search and nothing remotely close happens. If, however, you want every recipe ever published for banana loaf, banana tea loaf and banana bread, I've got 'em.

Thank you for your noble efforts. I did start with the general Site/Tech Help board and learned that, alas, my first or most detailed telling of the incident seems to have been in a team that has since ceased to exist. I never noticed until yesterday that two interconnected teams were no longer on my page and the same goes for the pages of some of those teammates who are still at SP.

One of the coaches replied that, once a team is deleted, so go all signs of its having existed. Knowing that now, it would be wise to print anything you post or copy it into a Word or whatever document. I'll repeat this in a new topic so that others who don't stop in here won't miss it.

This team shows no sign of wearing out. That's a good thing.

Phebe, that was one of the rubs -- I don't know whether my post was an add-in or a new topic.

The staff may have a better suggestion. We're all coming up empty, though Eco seems to remember the post. Maybe with more detail, she'll know where it is.

I did that. Phebe did that, too, and we both came up empty.

Sparky message threads can be searched in Google (outside SP, just in Google). Use your nickname and enough specific words you are CERTAIN were in the original post.

I tried doing a search with your user name and some of the phrases you posted here, and search in "community" - can't find anything remotely close. I'm sorry I couldn't help. I don't remember the exact post.

Did you write the initial post, or was your comment in reply to someone else?

I remember when you shared your thoughts. You definitely posted it here. Your words are memorable.

I enjoy our conversations but I guess that's the problem with our train of thought forums. I probably won't remember to check a pot roast discussion if I ever want to find the style name of my Roseville Pottery floor vase. But on the other hand, it wouldn't be likely that I'd write about my vase if we didn't have these friendly all-over-the-place conversations.

You might want to try asking the SP staff directly. They have been pretty helpful to me lately.

Please help if you have remember a post I'm sure I posted long ago about an ethereal experience while creaming butter and sugar for a banana tea loaf. I felt as though I was taking my place alongside my grandmothers and all my generations as well as all women who had ever baked.

When I enter phrases that I likely used, the SP system finds things from every team and every search engine. I can't guess whether I started a topic to tell share the experience or entered it in an existing topic.

The reason I'm wanting to find it: I took a workshop with The Moth the other day. One of the questions in the handouts brought the experience to mind and I'd like to write it in shape for possibly entering a story slam with a compatible theme. There's plenty I've drafted just now, but it may be that I'm not recalling something pithy.

Thanks, y'all. Sigh.
