I have the DVD and I would say to count it as strength training, at least that is what my muscles tell me it was the next day.

Tai Chi is really a martial art that is done excrutiatingly slowly. The intent is to learn it "perfectly" slowly so that, should the need arise, you can do the movements quickly, with little thought. I would perhaps log it as Tai Chi?

I haven't tried that particular DVD, but given that belly dance when you are doing some travelling and such is still pretty mild on the cardio side, it's probably more like yoga / pilates. I'd probably use the Quick Tracker to log the minutes if you want a record of it.

I've lost about 35lbs and gone from slightly over "obese" by BMI to just into "healthy"!

And I can now run for over 5k!

Not sure but I will say in our Dallas rock gym the very best climber we nicknamed "the sloth". He climbed at just about the same pace as a sloth and he could kick anyone's butt in technique and strength. Ever since I have a big believer in "if you can do it perfectly ridiculously slow, you are on your way to doing in perfectly ridiculously fast"...

pilates isn't fast either but like this controlled. I think it's all strength training and yes it counts! :)

I'm curious if anyone has used this video? I have it and use it all the time, but I'm not sure if I should count it as an exercise and track it. It's very slow and controlled, lots of repetition, and plenty of stretching. It's not cardio, I would classify it as stength, I guess. Anyone have some input??
