I must pat my self on the back as I have been entering all in the food diary last 2 days. So far have been within range. Today I just felt so bloated, need to get more water. I have been drinking too much coffee and tea.

Hello...i have been on sparkpeople.com for about a two months now. I did other weight loss programs before and i find that the Food Diary is really helpful to keep me on track. It keeps me focused so that i stick to my diet.

I do not like keeping a food diary but I will admit it does help you understand your eating habits and it pinpoints what you are eating and why. It can be a good thing if you are dedicated to writing in the diary each day.

I like the food journaling part here. One thing that is driving me nuts though is that regardless of what i do I can't get enough potassium. I eat fruit daily, and vegetables as well. I onced saw a bottle of potassium tablets at a drug store but the manager was taking them off the shelf. Seemd regardless of the fact that potassium is so hard to get into your body they don't have a supplement. I can't really find any foods with potassium on the net either. It's frudtrating.

Ok, one area I stink at is food journaling. I hate it. I know I need to do it. Can someone who has been using the program here on spark people to journal give me some suggestions? I'm not "dieting" yet...I'm just wanting to journal for the next two weeks and then start with some changes. I just need some suggestions. I was getting frustrated earlier trying to do it. Thanks. emoticon
