SF 1st half - I'm there!!!

Still need to work up some more distance runs but I'm getting excited. I don't know about the hills. OC was supposedly a "flat" course -but the Newport?Corona del Mar was down a hill then back up - had to climb up hills out of the back bay area twice, not to mention of a few freeway overpasses, bridges etc. I'll have to compare the elevation charts of the two.

Looks like I'm walking the 2nd half by myself... I'm still injured and haven't done any running since San Diego. I'm freaking out about doing 13 miles without any training under my belt, but even more so about being hurt... but I just can't back out of this. I must be crazy! So walking is the plan, and praying I finish before I'm swept off the course!

I'm not sure about the hills in SF but the hills of Hollywood were quite a workout for me this morning...I did 5 miles going from my house up and around Franklin and La Brea and then looped back...I'm not sure which was worse the uphill on Fuller or the downhills on Gardner and Crescent Height!!! That might be my regular route for the next few weeks...along with my 15 and 16 milers the next 2 Saturday!!! We're welcome to join me on any or all of them!!!

I'm going to have to look at the elevation map for SF and see if I can compare it to anything around here just to see what it might looks like!!! I'll let you know what I figure out!!! LOL!!!

I'm right there with Jackie for the first half on the bridge at the end of the month.

I'm getting nervous because I haven't been running much, but I'm going to pick it up ASAP starting with a run today after work, hopefully in Griffith Park.

Jackie - you've got me thinking I need to run some hills! How bad are the hills on the first half? I don't even know anything about the course! hopefully not worse than running uphill the last 13 miles of LA!

Baby on board!! Due June 20th!!

Hey Dreamers! What you got planned this month?

I know a few of you are running San Francisco on July 26th. Who's running the Golden Gate Bridge, who's running the city hills, and who's running the full marathon???

Any other races happening? July 4th 5Ks? Cycling events? Walks for charity?

July's gonna be a great month!
