I have found the best uses for photoshop are minimal...boost the contrast a little if I need to, maybe play with the shadows and highlights a bit. And crop. As fun as all the other stuff is, it's just too much time and energy.
Does anyone here have Adobe lightshop? I just found out about it (I have been out of the loop for a while) and I'm thinking that might serve my needs better.
I'd love to go back to film in a lot of ways, but have learned to accept digital and appreciate some aspects (especially the learning curve with a new camera - I would not have been able to take 200 pics of my dog to play with film. ;-) )
Good luck and do whatever brings you more pleasure than frustration!
