It sounds like you are doing very well. My advice would be to stay the course however.....Rome wasn't built in a day and it take a while to ingrain all of these new activities and ways of doing things to make them into habits.

Stage 3 will come before you know it and before long you'll be rewarding yourself for a job well done.

Keep up the great work!!

Not everything counted is important. Not everything important can be counted.

Short Term Goals:

Everything that Level 2 is teaching us I am finding really easy. I'd already worked on these things before I came to SparkPeople. My problem has always been portion control and I think I've got that pretty much down now. As long as I have my scales.

I'm weighing all my food, and even bought a pocket scale to keep on top of it.
I've tweaked to slightly higher fruit and vege in my diet.
I was already drinking plenty of water.
I've tweaked my cardio regime slightly higher and I've only just started that weeks exercise.

Looking ahead to week five, I've cut out random snacking, replacing it with carrots/peppers and houmous when I'm really hungry, or drinking water, or just saying no.
Week 6 is finding opportunities to exercise.
I'm taking the long way to places to add steps. Yesterday I took a 15km bike ride on a whim because I had the time.

I think I've cracked Stage 2. Is it time for me to move on?

Being a good role model for my kids.
