I've plateaued a couple of times, and had a set back during a vacation last month, but overall I'm making progress. I keep looking for motivation and rejuvenation - I think it's important to do this every day.

Cheers!

Hi guys! I have hit the wall a couple of times. I have found a change in my routine helps. I think my body gets use to what I'm doing and then I have to throw a surprise in there to wake it up. Last week I added a class at the Y and now my scale's moving again. Not as much as I would like but as long as it's moving down I'm happy!

I hit the wall! I even gained 1 pound (at least that's what the scale said last week). I don't know if it's water retention due to that time of the month or due to the humidity. I will admit that it's been harder to keep my same eating pattern now that I'm in a different office with no refrigerator or microwave (at least for now). And I can feel the towel getting ready to fling itself off my shoulder, but I am trying to be so very strong. It may be emotional too, but I have fought the urge to purchase potato chips and pints of ice cream. I will just have to find more strength in me and lean on SP for motivation.

OH Yeah !! I've hit the wall - this is the point where before I have thrown in the towel and picked up the donut !!

But this time there is just so much information and others who are really doing it to tell me this is perfectly normal that I am finding it easy to belive that its just temporary.

I just kept going and eventually the ticker started moving again now it seems to be in a pattern of loose - stick for a week or so - then loose again. Its slow but its working and I'm sure I will get there - It took years to put it there - so months to get rid of it doesn't seem so bad emoticon

I have also hit a wall. I have lost 1 pound in the last two weeks...I think right now the humidity is affecting my water retention so I keep waiting for the break in the weather and then I'll see some loss! My body is weird that way! I'll keep chigging the water and hopefully will break through SOON!

I didn't hit a wall more like a vehicle. On my one month anniversary with SP, I was involved in a serious MV accident (check out my blog). I have been home recovering since the 19th and unable to work. :-(

Several days before my post, I was so excited about checking my weight as my anniversary date was nearing. Now, I cannot remember what the scale said that morning.

I am missing working out along with my fellow Spark classmates. I hate that these two young men that caused the accident caused such a set back in my life. But, I am continuing to be active on the site, and one day I hope to be consistent again.

BTW, I pretty much gave up on everything. My diet has been horrible.

I am not very proud of myself now!

Yup. The first time was last year when I was doing Weight Watchers. It lasted about 3 weeks. I've been there again since I started on SP. Just banging up against that wall and getting nowhere. Lucky this time I'm really close to my goal. Just got to keep trying though. Eventually we'll break through.

Make sure that you are eating healthy. Sometimes we try too hard and our bodies go into starvation mode. Then our bodies try to hold on to all the calories we put into them.

Good luck

I think that I've hit the proverbial wall.....I've only lost 1 pound in the last two weeks.

Is anyone else in the same boat as me? Has anyone hit the wall and then managed to bust through it??

Not everything counted is important. Not everything important can be counted.

Short Term Goals:
1. Get waist down to a size 40
2. Get to 249lbs by the end of February 2010
